Forest Road 76

Within Santa Fe National Forest, Forest Road 76 provides dispersed camping opportunities along a well-maintained access route that accommodates standard passenger vehicles. The US Forest Service manages this drive-in camping area, which allows pets and features multiple side roads and logging roads branching off within the first mile, creating various camping possibilities for visitors to explore.

One camper noted good road conditions and easy car access during a late November visit, though heavy snow accumulation prompted an early departure. The reviewer suggested the area would work better during dry summer months. Snow late November

Arrived on a Sunday evening in late November. Road in good shape and easy access for my car. Several side roads/logging roads within the first mile so looked like many good possibilities. Then heavy snow started and accumulated fast so I left. In dry summer months seems like it’d be ideal.
