Clearwater Campground

This is now called Hunter’s Run. Many seasonal campsites more than half the campground. Good site spacing. Store only open limited hours and staff on site only limited hours. Probably due to new corporate owners. Very quiet off season and during the week. No wood available during our visit, 2 bundles locked in cage area but nobody around to purchase from. Bathhouses and showers very clean at lakeside section of campground. Nice clean beach area at the lake. Looks like kayak and canoe rentals. This is on south side of NH route 104 which is a busy road. Some road noise noticed from our location near the lake. Gravel/dirt sites with fire pits ( rocks ) and picnic table. Called office to arrange for site and they called back. Staff very helpful to find a good site and making reservations.

Workers were very helpful, very private spots, nice fires, very clean and well maintained.

Really quiet this time of year. Lot was not level. Lot was roomy.

We spent 6 nights here with 2 dogs. It was very crowded and the sites are close together and there were a lot of mosquitoes. However, every one was very considerate, the bathrooms and showers were clean and wonderful as were the laundry facilities and game room. Also the store is well stocked with all the necessities. We really came to kayak and fish and were not at all disappointed. Easy access to the lake, beautiful water, and my husband could not put a hook in without catching something.

First time visiting this campground. We are accustomed to campgrounds that have a lot of amenities and this one does not disappoint. 

Swimming: The indoor pool on the other side of the road at the sister campground Meredith Woods (both campgrounds accessible for campers) was splendid. I love the idea of being able to go swimming even if the weather is a bit crummy. Good size pool too with hot tub. Though the hot tub wasn't hot enough for me. The lake beach was fantastic, very nicely maintained.

Kayak rental was super cheap and easy to do!

The campground is relatively near Meredith town center, and not far from Weirs beach. Plenty of stuff to do off campground!

One of the better fire pits we've had. It is a few rocks and allows plenty of air in.

Their refund policy is the best I've seen. if you need to cancel for any reason they will add that money back onto your account that you can use for a later date.

We would definitely come here again!

Site wise it’s more of a rv camp but they do have some tent sites. I would recommend mosquito repellent.
