The Wild Mustang

Van campers can pull over the berm onto the property after checking in with the host, gaining access to expansive desert views and notable privacy. The Wild Mustang sits in remote high desert terrain where clear night skies provide excellent stargazing conditions. A fire pit accommodates evening campfires, while the surrounding landscape offers the raw desert atmosphere that defines this part of Nevada.

The campground operates as a private property with reservations available and welcomes pets. Road access proves straightforward despite the remote feel once campers arrive on-site. For those preferring more developed facilities, Nevada Treasure RV Resort provides additional amenities about 8 miles south.

Odd spot

Kinda creepy location. The surrounding neighborhood resembles a Mad Max set. While it was just me and my dog, at no point did I feel unsafe or threatened by the environment. I did get to watch an amazing monsoon storm roll through one night. Clear sky, with big views. Nice fire pit.

5 Stars – Peaceful Desert Spot

We stayed at The Wild Mustang in our van and had such a great experience. After checking in with the host, we got permission to pull our van over the berm and onto the property—and it was perfect. It had amazing views and total privacy. You really feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere, in the best way.

The host was kind and responsive. The sunsets were gorgeous, and at night the stars lit up the sky—some of the clearest you will ever see. There’s a really peaceful, raw desert vibe here that made it easy to just slow down, unplug, and relax.

It’s easy to get to, but still feels remote once you're there. We’ll definitely be back next year!
