The sound of Stewart Creek accompanies campers at this small Forest Service campground in the Toiyabe National Forest. Columbine operates five to six sites on a first-come, first-served basis from mid-May through November, with aspens and conifers providing shade across most spots. RVs up to 35 feet can access the campground, though the rough access road requires careful navigation.
A trailhead at the campground provides direct access to the Arc Dome Wilderness for hikers seeking backcountry exploration. The campground includes basic amenities like toilets and picnic tables, and allows both pets and alcohol. Campers should arrive early during peak season since reservations are not accepted.
