Riverside Park

Quiet nights and clean facilities define the camping experience at this municipal campground in Beatrice. Riverside Park sits within a larger city park complex that includes disc golf and paved walking trails along the river. The campground accommodates both RVs up to 60 feet and tent campers, with seven RV sites featuring full hookups for $20 per night and a separate tent area for $5.

RV sites feature concrete pads with 50-amp electric, water, and sewer connections. "Slept with my windows open and heard no traffic or trains," reports Allison B., highlighting the campground's reputation for quietness despite its in-town location. The restrooms stay clean, though stalls lack doors. Showers are available and maintained regularly according to recent visitors.

Two large playgrounds keep children occupied, while the 18-hole disc golf course winds throughout the park grounds. The paved trail system provides river access for walking or biking. A camp host assists with check-in and questions. For additional overnight options, campers can explore campgrounds near Beatrice or visit Chautauqua Park Campground two miles southeast.

This setup works well for families wanting park amenities and RV travelers needing full hookups in a small-town setting with minimal noise.

Quiet night

Better than I expected. Camp host was friendly and helpful. Bathroom was clean although stalls have no doors. I did not use the showers but I looked in and they were clean. There is a nice paved walk/bike path along the river. It was quiet once it got dark. Slept with my windows open and heard no traffic or trains.

Tenting also available, but not well marked

This is a pleasant, quiet spot in a great park. There are two giant playgrounds to keep the kids busy. The toilets are OK, but just what you'd expect at a public park, nothing fancy. There were no showers. Trailer spots (7? available) have electricity, water and sewer hookups for $20 per night. Tenting is $5, which we didn't know because it's not marked on the price board or envelopes. However, after setting up for the night, a camp host told us there was a separate, cheaper tenting area on the eastern side of the trailer area. The picnic tables are really nice molded plastic, so no splinters.

Juuuust Fine!

I stayed there for a whole weekend. The reason to stay was to Frisbee golf and camp ALL weekend. The babe a nice 18 hole course throughout the park. Sheltered bathrooms and drinking fountains were just a few of the amenities offered at the grounds. There is tent camping along with RV spots with electricity for both. As it is in a small town setting as well, it is quiet with little light pollution so to view the stars decently enough. All in all it was a good path for families to hang out in and also a nice place to camp.
