This free campground provides five sites with fire rings and picnic tables arranged in a circle around a central privy and bear box. The Forest Service facility sits along the river but lacks direct water access, making it better suited for tent camping than large RVs despite accommodating rigs up to 50 feet. Located just 10 minutes from Thompson Falls, campers can easily access town for supplies while enjoying the forested setting and generous site spacing that provides privacy between neighbors.
Description
This campground is in a moist river bottom cedar forest (bring your bug repellent in June and July). Adjacent Thompson River offers fishing opportunities. Access for large vehicles can be challenging.
