Boaters and anglers find direct water access at Bucksaw, an Army Corps of Engineers campground on Harry S. Truman Lake in Clinton, Missouri. The facility operates year-round with both drive-in and boat-in access options, accommodating RVs up to 70 feet with full hookups available.

Most sites provide electric connections, while the B loop includes water hookups and some full-service sites with sewer connections. Campers report spacious sites with good shade coverage throughout the campground. The facility includes restrooms, showers, and a dump station for RV users. A nearby marina provides additional services including a restaurant and small store for supplies.

The campground features a beach area and walking trails, though some visitors note the trails don't extend to the lake. A playground serves families with children. Brandon B. found "campsites are very spacious and everyone was very nice," with the camp host distributing treats to guests. Reviews mention the facility stays busy during peak season but maintains a relatively quiet atmosphere.

Family fun for everyone, Campers to Glampers!

We are definitely the traditional campers , ( tents, kiaks, volleyball, bbq, s’mores and more.)  Bucksaw is a family friendly way to spend those summer vacations with the kids. Times were very different as a child for me growing up and Bucksaw gave some nostalgia to this old man makes me feel like a kid again. Walking trails, play grounds, sites with or without water, power. Short distance to the marina with its amenities restraint if you don’t feel like cooking, small shop, cabins on and off the water , fishing tournaments if that’s your thing. They pretty much have it all. So if you haven’t been here I suggest you add it to your list, we will be back 2026!!!!!!!

Lake of the Ozarks

One night stay. Nice COAE campground. Had trouble getting here from the south because of extensive flooding from the April storms. Amazing bird songs and calls. Busy but quiet.

Bucksaw is the place

From the moment we pulled into Bucksaw campground we knew we were in for a great weekend... minus the large group that had gathered and the drunks who tried to help me back in.

Most sites are shaded and offer electric... most in the B loop have water and there are some full hook ups around.

Campsites are very spacious and everyone was very nice. The camp host even came around and offered everyone suckers.

There is a very nice beach and a short walking trail. I wish the trail went down to the lake.

We definitely will be coming back.

Buck saw Campground

This is a nice park on the lake. The shower house was huge. Don’t stay to close to the bathrooms because the lights are very bright.
