Albert Lea-Austin KOA

First time camping of the season here! Brian in the office was SO nice and generous. It was pretty quiet there, he upgraded us to a nicer spot and threw in an extra bundle of wood. The facilities were clean, graveled pull through spots were so nice. Other campers there were very nice. It’s pretty close to the interstate, so just be aware you’ll hear that noise, it might be better once the trees have leaves on them. Would stay again!

People are nice small campground. Not much for kids to do but if your staying overnight it’s fine for travelers.

Decent, clean campground. We were staying just one night on the way to our final destination. This was right off the expressway, so perfect for that. We didn’t use any of the facilities m, so can’t comment on those.

In the middle of corn and bean fields..very peaceful! Open camp sites some shaded and pull through. Big rig friendly. Pool was closed for repair on our visit but looked like nice sized pool. Staff was welcoming and grounds were clean.  Drive over to Austin and visit the Spam Museum...who knew?

It served it's purpose for a quick night. I really can't give a thorough review as we were only there for 10 hours

We got there right after a major thunderstorm that took out a lot of trees so the place looked ragged but it was a nice place.

The Internet was good.  It was a typical KOA and everything was kept up and clean.

They did have a $1 Sunday when we got there which was fun Ice Cream and topping for $1.  Then that night they had movies which was nice.  A great pool and play area for the kids.

Since we drove through the horrible storm we really did not want to get out and explore the area any more so even though it seemed to be great place to stay I don't know what is around the area.  

I do know the people were friendly and nice and even after a major storm like that they were cleaning up and getting everything back to normal.

We will be coming back here as we cross MN again.
