Isle Royale National Park operates Washington Creek Campground as a boat-in and hike-in destination approximately one-third of a mile from the Windigo ferry landing. The National Park Service facility provides 15 individual wooded sites, with 10 featuring three-walled wooden shelters and 5 designated for tents or hammocks. Each site includes a picnic table, though campfires are prohibited and only camp stoves are permitted.
The campground offers drinking water from a single faucet, pit toilets, and allows alcohol. A camp store at nearby Windigo stocks basic supplies including canned goods, camping fuel canisters, and fishing gear. Campers report fox activity around sites and note the location provides water access to both Washington Creek and the adjacent cove. No pets are allowed on the island, and visitors must arrange ferry or seaplane transportation to reach this remote location.
