Diamond Point Campground

Within Manistee National Forest, Diamond Point Campground operates as a minimal US Forest Service facility with just two established campsites. This small-scale setup means availability cannot be guaranteed, particularly during peak seasons when both sites may be occupied.

The campground sits directly on the White River, providing immediate water access for paddlers. Beth C. notes "You could kayak on the river," while commercial canoe outfitters use the site as a launch point during busy weekends. Each campsite accommodates up to eight people and two vehicles, with fire rings and picnic tables standard. RVs are restricted to 20 feet maximum length.

Forest Service amenities remain basic: pit toilets, trash collection, and self-pay fee collection at $10 per night. No potable water is available on-site. Two additional tent-only sites sit closer to the riverbank. The forested setting provides natural screening between sites, though privacy remains limited given the compact layout. Several campers mention the lack of established hiking trails in the immediate vicinity.

The location works well as a budget-friendly river access point for paddlers exploring the White River system. Campers seeking guaranteed availability should have backup options, as the two-site limit creates obvious constraints during popular camping periods.

A small, wooded campground with just 2 sites offering quiet riverside camping at $10/night. Campers appreciated the peaceful setting and river access, though some noted limited privacy and lack of drinking water.

Private, minimal, on small river

Small "campground" has a pit toilet. 2 sites that could hold a very small camper or van. 2 additional sites are on the river but are only for tents. We needed a place to stay for one night and it was great, peaceful and we did not see anyone else. Sites have a fire pit and a picnic table. You could kayak on the river. 10 dollars a night self pay box.

Only 2 Sites

Like others said in reviews, there are only 2 campsites! Which is quite inconvenient if you get there and they are all taken up. Other than that, it is a cute and quite campground right on the edge of a small river. Sadly our neighbors while staying there were quite abnoxious and loud, and you can’t avoid them because there isn’t much privacy or space between the sites. I would stay here again in hopes of having better neighbors.

Nice campground!

There are only 2 (two!) campsites. Nice wooded campground, remote and quiet. clean restroom. no drinking water. great access to White River, perfect for canoe launching. Each campsite has a fire pit and picnic table, very roomy. two cars per site, up to 8 people. budget friendly($10/night)! On the down side, we could not find any trails nearby. and a canoe company uses this campground for canoe launching during the day on weekends. We truly enjoyed our stay there!
