Holiday Park Campground

Holiday Park Campground operates from late April through October with full hookups and both drive-in and boat-in access on Silver Lake near Traverse City. The campground features gravel sites that reviewers consistently describe as level, with full electric, water, and sewer connections available for RVs.

Sites include elevated fire pit patios with decorative lighting, and the grounds showcase extensive landscaping with flowers and plants throughout. Several campers note glimpses of Silver Lake from certain sites, while the property includes multiple playgrounds and walking paths. The campground attracts many Airstream trailers, with some seasonal lots requiring newer recreational vehicles.

Bathroom facilities receive high marks for cleanliness, though site layout varies across the property. Some areas have tighter spacing between neighbors, and patrick notes that "the hookups and fire pit layouts don't make sense" on certain lots. Traffic noise from nearby roads reaches some sites, particularly those closer to the entrance.

The location puts campers within ten minutes of downtown Traverse City's restaurants and shops. For additional camping options in the region, consider camping near Grawn. Reservations are recommended, especially for peak summer and fall weekends when seasonal sites may be available for short-term rental.

Campers regularly cited clean facilities, friendly staff, and well-maintained gravel sites with attractive landscaping. Lake access and family amenities were highlights, though some road noise was noted in certain areas.

Good family place

We went for the Halloween weekend. We had fun. The wooded sites were wonderful. Sites were stone and not muddy (it did rain). There were a lot of play grounds as well.

Too close

Love the park per my first review on lot 145.
Lot 188 area very tight with campfires and neighbors septic connection near your vehicles. The hookups and fire pit layouts don’t make sense….we didn’t have a fire thought it was too close to neighbors trailer.

Clean quiet organized

Campground has lake access on silver lake, very nice. Rented a pontoon boat from an outside company and spent the day on the beautiful lake. Staff is friendly and helpful. Showers are super clean. Some spots are better than others. The newer section the trees are beginning to provide some shade. It’s our go to campground for the Traverse area.

AN EASY TOP TEN

Holiday Park will easily make your top ten list.

It has everything; off of Silver Lake to swim, fish or rent a boat. Their is no reason to leave this paradise (except for groceries/drinks). The grounds are meticulously manicured with a great playground, biking/walk paths and as mentioned in another review, it's an airstream mecca. We saw a 35' triple axle with a slide out. Regarding the airstreams there; that's one of the requirements for purchasing a lot (or a fifth wheeler 5 year or less in age.).

We also love downtown Traverse City  < than 10 minutes away with great shops, restaurants and public lots to park (found a nice record store there also).

It's a no brainer for us to return. Would be tempted to look into buying a lot (if our rig qualified). If you make plans, book early.

Cheers,

Geo & Dawn

We got an awesome site!

We stayed here in 2016 for a fall weekend get away! Because it was after season we got to camp on someone's seasonal lot which was awesome! We had a beautiful site with a look out area and nice fire place. We didn't spend much time at the campground itself but loved all the airstream trailers that were in there!
