Croton Township Campground

County-managed Croton Township Campground sits along the Muskegon River in Newaygo County, accommodating RVs up to 36 feet with electric hookups and a dump station. The campground operates year-round with both drive-in and boat-in access options. Mature trees provide coverage across good-sized sites, while steep riverbanks limit shore fishing access despite the water proximity. Rain or shine, the wooded setting includes hiking opportunities through the adjacent forest areas. For additional camping choices in the region, explore campgrounds around Newaygo. The combination of river access and spacious sites works well for RV campers and boaters seeking a county park experience.

Loved it

I really enjoyed my stay at croton campground. A friend and I stayed from Friday to Sunday. It was my first time camping in over 10 years and it did rain pretty much the entire time Saturday but I plan on going again soon.

Not a bad little spot

It was pretty quiet when we went, it was during the week. Beautiful woods to hike in next to the river. We were hoping to fish from shore, but the bank is SUPER steep. Lots of mature trees and the lots are all good sized.
