Pratt County Veterans Memorial Park

Pratt County Veterans Memorial Park provides drive-in and boat-in access to 12 gravel pull-through sites with electric and water hookups on the shore of a small lake. The county-managed campground operates on an honor system, with payment envelopes available at the mailbox outside the restrooms. Sites accommodate large RVs, with one reviewer noting easy navigation for a 43-foot motorhome.

Each site includes a fire ring with grate and picnic table made of plastic-coated wire mesh. The campground features flush toilets, abundant trash receptacles, and an unlocked dump station located behind the playground. "Super easy to navigate in our 43-foot motorhome; pull through gravel sites are plenty long enough to not need to unhook," reports one camper who paid $20 per night for full hookups.

The park sits within a larger recreation complex that includes a community swimming pool, tennis and pickleball courts, ball diamonds, and walking paths. Anglers fish from earthen piers extending into the lake. A sheriff's deputy patrols the area regularly. Road access involves some washboard gravel sections, though paved routes are available by staying on Highway 54 longer before turning. For additional overnight options, campers can explore camping near Pratt.

The campground works well for RV travelers seeking an affordable stopover with full hookups and lake access.

A well-maintained municipal park offering excellent value with full hookups, clean facilities, and quiet sites near fishing opportunities. Campers appreciated the honor system payment and central location with easy town access.

Peaceful area in nature, big rig friendly; kudos to Pratt for such a beautiful park

Stayed overnight. Super easy to navigate in our 43-foot motorhome; pull through gravel sites are plenty long enough to not need to unhook. $20 a night, with water & elec hookups at each site, a fire ring, and a picnic table. There's a dump station also -- it's right behind the playground and can be approached from either direction. Not locked --it's ready to use. In navigating here my Apple Maps turned us onto Lake Road off Hwy 54. We drove washboarded gravel for awhile. When I zoomed out on my map, I realized we could've stayed on Hwy 54, avoided the gravel, and taken pavement all the way by turning later on. Meh. I'd def come back here again when passing through the area, and figure it out by watching the map to decide where I want to turn. We stayed on a gorgeous 68-degree day in Feb, & tyere were several people fishing, walking, kids at the playground, etc. SUPER nice people--a lady drove by and called out, Welcome to Pratt! A dad at the playground gave me a tip on using the Casey's in town for a gas stop as it's set up for diesel and trucks. Honor system to pay --envelopes are in the mailbox right outside the bathrooms.

A City that Loves it’s Parks

We stayed here for 3 nights waiting for spring storms to pass in the central part of the country. Nice park that is part of a ecosystem of community swimming pool, tennis/pickle ball, ball diamonds and walking paths. Other park adjoining. $10.00 for electric/water per night. Gravel parking lot. Public restrooms with flush toilets.

Quiet & affordable

This is a quiet little park for being in the heart of Pratt. It's just $10/night for electric & water. There's a dump station nearby, you just need to get the key from city hall. They have a 7 night maximum stay. Great for an overnight, or a couple days to get caught up on laundry in town. People are really friendly.

Nice park, beautiful area, good amenities

We just bought a travel trailer, and this campground was recommended to us as a good place to stop on the way back home by an employee.

There are 12 gravel pull thru sites with 50, 30, and 20 amp service. Each site also has water, a fire pit with a grate, and a nice picnic table (the kind made of plastic coated wire mesh, if you understand what I mean). There are lots of trash receptacles, an RV dump, and flush toilets, and all this is located on a pretty little lake that gets lots of anglers out on these earthen piers. All for $15 per nite, or $5 per nite for tent campers or RVers without hookups.

The local sheriff's deputy drove through several times while we were there. Payment is on the honor system. There is what looks like a boardwalk path through a wildlife area, but it was closed during our visit.

All in all, a great place to hook up and enjoy some AC in our rig on a sweltering, humid July evening!
