Camp At The Woods

Camp At The Woods operates year-round as a primarily seasonal campground where monthly and long-term campers make up most of the community. The owner Ray accommodates short-term visitors when sites are available, often allowing campers to select their preferred spot upon arrival. Sites feature concrete pads with fire rings, though the sewer connections are positioned at the front of sites and require uphill drainage in some areas.

The campground sits along a river with select sites offering direct water access for swimming and recreation. Tracy B. notes the sites are "perfect size" and positioned "near the river for some water fun." Recent improvements include a new playground, basketball court, and pavilion. A pool serves campers during warmer months, while laundry facilities and bathrooms are located near the river.

Sites vary in surface material, with some areas primarily gravel and others on concrete pads. The campground provides full hookups including water service that functions even during freezing temperatures. Winter camping is possible, though river access and pool facilities are seasonal. For those exploring pet-friendly options around Nora Springs, pets are welcome throughout the property.

Camp At The Woods works best for campers comfortable in a community setting with established seasonal residents and flexible enough to work with available site configurations.

Open year round

Very accommodating super nice people helped us back in and set up in middle of winter after dark after we had drove 2 days from the east coast. Our spot was on an incline but the water worked when temp was below freezing the camp was nice with new park for kids new basketball court new pavilion wish we could have been there in the summertime I’m sure the pool is nice when uncovered. I saw laundry and bathrooms by the river.

Very friendly fun environment

Ray was very accommodating to get us into a full hook site last minute. Nice grounds with many new updates. Perfect size sites and near the river for some water fun. Pool wasn’t open yet but looked to be a good size. Would go back there again for sure!

Nice people and ray is working hard to update!

Ray is a great guy ! He let us come in for a weekend , and let us pick our site on arrival. We had full hook up, but the sewer connection was at the front of the site and was up hill kind of . Nice concrete Pads at the site with fire rings. Mostly seasonal sites and month to month workers in here but would definitely come back if there was an open site

A little rough for March, but would be willing to give it a try again!

This campground is primarily seasonal and month-to-month campers and open year-round. Since it was not high season Ray let us bring our new rig in for a test run. He was very friendly and accommodating. The sites are small and where we were was mostly gravel, but we made it work. There are some sites along the river that have incredible views and river access. Obviously these weren't accessible considering the time of year we visited the campground, but we would like to visit Camp At The Woods again once the summer weather moves in.
