Got more than a few hours? Reserve a cabin or campsite and get-a-away. This park’s name comes from the path that herds of buffalo once migrated across the area. Later, the earliest settlers used this path as a wagon trail into the frontier. The land that is now Buffalo Trace Park was deeded to the Town of Palmyra for the express purpose of using it as a park. Harrison County Parks operates Buffalo Trace Park under a long term lease agreement with the Town of Palmyra.
