With five tent sites and vault toilets, Telichpah Campground operates as a basic Forest Service facility from May through October. The campground sits alongside a small creek that provides background water sounds throughout the night. Road signs along the access route may still reference the former name "North Fork Joe Campground," which can cause navigation confusion for first-time visitors.
No water source exists within the campground itself, so campers must bring their own supply or treat creek water. The location works well as a staging area for the nearby Hiawatha Bike Trail, with the Pearson trailhead accessible from this base. For those wanting more amenities, Cabins by the Joe provides additional services a few miles away.
