Travelers Campground sits just off Interstate 75 in Alachua, designed specifically for RVers making overnight stops during longer journeys. The campground accommodates rigs up to 70 feet with full hookups including electric, water, and sewer connections. Staff members escort arriving campers to their sites via golf cart, a service that proves particularly helpful after long driving days.
The layout features rows of pull-through sites arranged in a compact configuration, with campers parking directly behind one another in what reviewers describe as a linear setup. An animal rescue operates on the property, allowing visitors to interact with and feed various farm animals throughout their stay. The facility includes a heated pool, dog park, and basic shower and restroom buildings that several campers note could use updating.
Road noise from the nearby interstate varies by site location, though some guests report sleeping well despite the proximity. Cell service can be spotty, particularly for T-Mobile users, and the campground WiFi works primarily for email rather than streaming. "Close to the interstate but didn't hear noise," notes Debi M., highlighting how individual site placement affects the experience.
Rates range from $69-99 per night with reservations available year-round. The campground works best for single-night stays rather than extended visits, given its traveler-focused design and tight site spacing.
