Encore Sunshine Travel

Accessible directly from I-95, Encore Sunshine Travel accommodates RVs up to 80 feet with full hookups including electric, water, and sewer connections. The campground operates year-round and accepts reservations through the Encore RV Resorts network. Sites feature paved pads, though some campers note the pavers show wear and may present uneven surfaces.

The park mixes short-term RV sites with permanent resident areas in an integrated layout. Campers report clean facilities including a clubhouse with restrooms, multiple washers and dryers requiring prepaid cards at $1.75 per load, and a pool area that reviewers consistently describe as well-maintained. The grounds include recreational amenities like horseshoe pits, shuffleboard courts, and a miniature golf course. A fenced dog park provides space for pets, though the walking path around the property has debris according to recent visitors.

Douglas T. found "the sites were roomy for our 42' 5th wheel" despite the mixed residential layout. The office operates limited weekend hours, which can complicate check-in timing. WiFi requires an additional fee but receives poor marks from users for reliability. Fast food options sit just outside the entrance.

For campers wanting waterfront access, Donald MacDonald Campground provides an alternative with direct water views.

Vero Beach, FL….Odd configuration

The campground was clean. Our site had pavers that were in disrepair and could be a tripping hazard. The sites were roomy for our 42’ 5th wheel. Pool area appeared to be well maintained as well as the laundry. The machines required a card instead of coins. At $1.75 it was reasonable compared to other places. The configuration of the park in relation to the full time residents was odd. The campers were placed randomly in between the full time residents. We had plenty of room but we were wedged in pretty tight with the full time residents. It was ok but just have never been situated like this. You had to purchase the Wi-Fi. Don’t bother. We paid $20 for the wk and had absolutely no internet. There was a number to call and we did call them. It was a huge deal and only got one device working. They did have a huge dog park but the path to walk your dog I would never use as it had a lot of debris.

I've signed up for about 5 month stay

The bugs/ants are a little much, and the roads within park definitely need to be repaired. I do like the close proximity to the interstate. The office staff is very nice. Lots of washer/dryers at pool/club house. People are pretty friendly.

Cramped outdated facilities

The clubhouse was outdated took me back to the 70’s An I mean the tables etc looked like they been around the long. The park itself was very clean however the spots were small. Friendly campground however. They have a small basic fenced in area for dogs. Not a place I would spend a weekend camping. I can see the attraction for snowbirds for spending time. Just a minute from I-95 exit. Fast food available outside the entrance.

Ranger Review: Umara Z-Trail Shoes by Xero @ Sunshine Travel RV Resort

Campground Review: Sunshine Travel RV Resort is an encore/thousand trails campground. The grounds are very well maintained with lots of amenities like pool, horseshoe, shuffleboard, Mini gold course, clubhouse with restrooms and an attached laundry facility. Since we were there for a soccer tournament, it was nice to have a place to wash the stinky uniforms in between games. We never saw any staff because the office is closed on weekends which posed a small problem when we had an issue in the laundry room. Other than that, it was a nice reasonably priced place to stay with a variety of campers, permanent residents and cabins for rent. Gear review: I wore my Xero Umara Z-trail shoes all weekend. It is my second pair to receive and I love them. So comfortable you hardly know they are there. No rub areas or hot spots from long use. I have worn them in a kayak, riverbed, soccer field, running track and just around the house. Highly recommend giving them a try!
