Free overnight, dump and water too!

Really nice Welcome Center/ rest stop that allows overnight parking. It’s nice because there’s separate lots for cars, campers, and semis, but when we were there the semis had taken up all of their lot and almost all of the camper spots too. There was only us and one other class c in the camper area- the rest were big lumbering loud semi trucks, engines running all night, despite the signs saying “no idling". There's a weigh station here too, and all night you had semis coming through for that. So, overall not a quiet night, but still grateful for a safe place to sleep.

There are toilets here, and trash dumpsters, vending machines, and a little semi enclosed dog area (not really enclosed- leashes required).

Good cell reception here. There’s also a free dump station and water here, amazing. Thank you Connecticut!

Gute Notlösung.

Wir haben dort übernachtet, da wir aufgrund von Verspätungen keinen Camping Platz mehr erreichen konnten. Auf uns machte es einen sicheren Eindruck. Des Weiteren gab es saubere WC‘s und Waschbecken. Aus verschiedene Automaten kann man sich Wasser und Snacks besorgen.

Connecticut highway rest area I-84 exit 1

FREE TO ALL. Pull in and park. sleep in your vehicle. public bathrooms vending machines picnic tables, quiet clean peacefull. No one really " camps" here. just for resting off of highway or sleep in your vehicle or RV.
