Kayakers and anglers will find direct water access at Webber Lake Campground, where shallow gravel-bottomed waters support swimming and fishing for cutbow trout and rainbows. The campground operates two sections: the North campground offers mountain views with back-in sites, while the West campground provides pull-through sites with easier lake access. Sites accommodate RVs up to 50 feet, though maneuvering requires care through the tree-lined approaches.
The lake itself stays relatively shallow throughout, making it suitable for wading and swimming by August. Water shoes help navigate the gravel bottom. A hiking trail leads from camp to nearby Webber Falls, though the path remains unimproved and steep in sections. Campers can gather firewood from dead and down timber in the surrounding forest area.
Drinking water is now available on-site, though the campground lacks dump stations or hookups. Cell service remains unavailable at the lake level. B. Douglas J. notes that "They are not allowing RV's to fill up with water anymore," directing campers to nearby facilities for tank filling.
The property opens reservations in March, with sites filling quickly for peak season. Mosquitoes can be intense through early July. For additional camping options in the region, campers can explore places to camp near Sierraville or check nearby Lake of the Woods just over two miles northeast.
