Water enthusiasts can access Stampede Reservoir by both boat and vehicle at this US Forest Service campground within Tahoe National Forest. The established campground provides water hookups for RVs along with standard amenities including drinking water, restrooms, and a dump station. Campers can reserve sites in advance and bring pets to this lakeside location.
The Iron Ox loop positions sites close to the water, accommodating larger groups and multiple rigs. With the dam now open, road access has improved according to recent visitors. For different camping experiences, explore camping areas around Tahoe National Forest or consider nearby Emigrant Group Campground for group-focused accommodations.
