Rogue River Dispersed Campsites

The area is accessible for multi-day stays during the warmer months, with some visitors enjoying extended 6-day trips. Many prime spots are located directly along the riverbank, offering beautiful views and easy water access. The Galice area is particularly popular for dispersed camping. These sites are primitive but peaceful, providing a true nature experience with the soothing sounds of the river nearby.

Dispersed camping in Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest follows standard Forest Service regulations. Campers should practice Leave No Trace principles, use existing fire rings when having campfires, and be aware that fire restrictions may be in place during dry seasons. There are no fees for basic dispersed camping, but special permits may be required for certain activities like rafting the wild section of the Rogue River.
