Meadow Camp Campground — Plumas National Forest

With seven sites accessible via rough access roads, Meadow Camp Campground operates as a $15 US Forest Service facility in Plumas National Forest. Sites sit between a meadow and creek, with three positioned close enough to hear flowing water. Each site includes a table and fire pit with grill grate.

The campground features both standard and equestrian sites in a grove of old growth trees, though limited spacing between sites means noise can carry. A pit toilet serves the area, and water hookups accommodate RVs up to 40 feet. For those wanting more developed amenities, Deanes Valley Campground provides additional facilities three miles south.

Nice campground in the forest

Pretty spot with 7 camp sites between a meadow and creek, nestled in a grove of beautiful olds growth trees. Each site has a table and fire pit with a grill over top. There's not much space between sites so noise could be an issue but I was the only one there so it was very pleasant. The small creek on one side of the campground is beautiful and audible from 3 sites which is a big plus. There are 3 equestrian sites. There is also a sign that says it will become a pay site next year (2020) which is upsetting because it's a very simple campground with few amenities. There is a pit toilet/outhouse. It's a great place to sleep if you're looking for a rustic site. I gave 4 stars because it's not the most amazing site but I'd definitely stay here again.
