Fish Creek Campground

Eight miles north of Ocotillo Wells, Fish Creek Campground provides a developed alternative to the area's abundant dispersed camping options. The state park facility charges $20 per night and includes vault toilets, a feature that distinguishes it from nearby free camping areas. Campfires are permitted at designated sites.

The campground serves as a base for off-highway vehicle enthusiasts, with direct access to OHV trails and riding areas. Hiking opportunities extend from the site into surrounding desert terrain. One recent visitor noted the facility's cleanliness while experiencing hot March temperatures, suggesting minimal shade coverage. Campers seeking developed amenities and organized sites will find this spot functional for desert recreation activities.

Desert spot with vault toilet

A lot of dispersed camping is available nearby, but if you prefer to have a vault toilet available and don't mind spending 20 dollar towards the state parks this spot is perfectly fine. We had a great but hot night in March
