Military Park Camp Roberts

Camp Roberts operates as a military installation campground that provides basic RV accommodations with electric, water, and sewer hookups. The facility maintains a no-frills approach, with sites lacking picnic tables and fire rings that many civilian campgrounds include.

What distinguishes this location is the access it provides to military history exhibits on the base grounds. Campers can explore decommissioned tanks and helicopters, with hands-on interaction encouraged for visitors of all ages. The base's historical displays offer a unique educational component not found at standard campgrounds. For additional options in the region, campers can explore places to camp around San Miguel. This setup works well for RV travelers interested in military history who prioritize hookups over traditional camping amenities.

Basic Campground with cool History

The campground was pretty basic with only hookups, no table or fire ring. No playground or amenities. But the cool thing was the history you could see and explore on the base. They had tanks and helicopters that you could climb in and touch. Our daughter loved it!
