Forest Service Road 7 leads to Wells Cabin Campground, where RVs up to 22 feet can navigate the access route with proper tire pressure adjustments. The campground operates from June through November within Mendocino National Forest, providing basic amenities including restrooms, picnic tables, and trash service.
Campers can access sites by driving in, hiking, or walking from nearby parking areas. One reviewer notes clean bathroom facilities and emphasizes the importance of airing down tires for the approach road. The campground allows both pets and campfires, making it suitable for families traveling with dogs who want evening gatherings around the fire ring.
