Goose Meadows

Fishing enthusiasts will find direct river access at this National Forest campground in Tahoe National Forest. Goose Meadows operates seasonally from mid-May through September, charging $22 per night for sites that accommodate RVs up to 30 feet. The campground provides drinking water, restrooms, and picnic tables, with campfires and pets both permitted.

Reviewers note the layout works well for medium to large RVs, though some road noise carries into the camping area. Walking trails lead from the campground to the river, where anglers can try their luck. The forested setting includes both open terrain and wooded areas. Cell service reaches the campground, and campers can make reservations in advance for their stay.

This BLM campground offers river access on the Truckee with good RV accommodation. Guests noted road noise but appreciated the riverside location and nearby walking trails.

Awesome!

We loved this campground! Close to amenities and you can hear the road but the campground itself is awesome and has nice walking trails nearby to the river. Quiet and clean.
