Accessible via forest roads, Sorghum Hollow Horse Camp operates year-round within the Ozark National Forest under US Forest Service management. The campground accommodates big rigs and allows alcohol, though pets are not permitted. Horseback riders frequently pass through the area, as the facility caters specifically to equestrian camping.
Water access requires navigating rough and potentially muddy terrain according to camper reports. The drive-in access makes this camp reachable for RVs, while the no-pet policy distinguishes it from many forest service campgrounds. For campers wanting pet-friendly alternatives, Lonesome D Horse Camp RV Park sits nearby with different policies.
