Managed by the National Forest Service, South Fourche provides drive-in camping with sites accommodating RVs up to 25 feet. The campground sits close to Highway 7, creating noticeable road noise that campers should expect during their stay. Each site includes a picnic table and metal fire pit with grate, while vault toilets remain reasonably clean with toilet paper provided.
The South Fourche la Fave River runs adjacent to the campground, offering canoe and kayak access through a dedicated boat ramp. A separate day-use parking area serves river visitors not staying overnight. Camping fees currently run $5 per night, and pets are not permitted. For additional options, campers can explore Forest Service RD 29145 Ouachita National Forest located southeast of this location.
