Pocahontas City Park

Accessible via city streets, Pocahontas City Park provides seven full-service concrete pads with electric and water hookups within Riverside Park. The municipal campground sits less than a mile from US Highway 67, making it a convenient overnight stop for travelers. Reservations are available through the city, and pets are welcome throughout the facility.

The park centers around water access, featuring a boat launch with ample parking for trucks pulling trailers. A playground and basketball court occupy the central area, while a pavilion provides covered space. The bathhouse shows its age and requires attention to cleanliness, according to recent visitors. Campers exploring camping destinations around Pocahontas will find this as the most centrally located option.

Urban location brings both convenience and drawbacks. Sonya N. notes "the overpass is right there so it's not quiet," while local dogs can create noise issues overnight. Construction activity sometimes occurs nearby during daytime hours. The setting lacks natural recreation beyond the boat ramp access to local waters.

The campground works best for RV travelers needing hookups while visiting Pocahontas or launching boats. Those seeking a quiet natural setting should consider Davidsonville Historic State Park Campground instead.

Many visitors appreciated the full hookups, boat launch, and family amenities like playground and basketball court. However, noise from the nearby overpass and local dogs was commonly noted as a concern.

Beautiful park & fishing

This park is in the city of Pocahontas, Arkansas. It has 7 full service concrete parking pads. A very nice boat launch & plenty of parking for trucks with boat trailers. Park has a bath house, but it's very old and not too clean. Bath house needs to be replaced. Park also has a nice basketball court & playground. It has a very peaceful vibe.

What it says it is

10/10 would stay again. Pros- Easy to find. Definitely marked campsites. Trashcans. Water. Easy on and off US 67. No one bothered us. Even saw official people in the morning.

Cons- the overpass is right there so it’s not quiet. Someone’s dog barked ALL night. Not another camper- a local’s dog.

Useful I guess

Pocahontas City Park has several sites and was empty when we arrived. There is a pavilion, boat ramp and small playground. There was construction going on nearby and you are in the city.

If you are in town to do something local it would make sense to stay here. Otherwise the only recreational aspect is the boat ramp.
