The Bureau of Land Management area features multiple flat sites scattered along an accessible dirt road, with existing fire rings marking popular camping spots.

The main access road handles larger RVs well, as one camper successfully navigated it with a 26-foot motorhome. Sites offer natural spacing between desert vegetation, allowing campers to find private spots away from others. The rocky ground surface makes tent camping challenging but works fine for RV camping. Both Verizon and AT&T provide reliable cell service throughout the area.

Campers will find evidence of the area's mining history, with active and abandoned claims scattered across the landscape. Road noise carries from distant highways, and occasional aircraft pass overhead, though nights remain relatively quiet. Free BLM dispersed camping with flat, private sites among trees and bushes. Rocky ground makes tent camping difficult, and some road noise present, but campers regularly found quiet, secluded spots.

Hiking galore

Wide open spaces. Lots of large areas to set up camp. Main road condition is good. Cell service is good. Just starting exploring and excited to see what we can see.

Great views , not too crowded

This area is becoming more popular, but not crowded yet. Solome is just down the road with propane, laundry and a small grocery store. At the junction of 72 & 60 you can dump for $20 (Ramblin Roads RV Resort) or head down the road on the other side of Solome to the county park, Centennial Park where I’m sure it’s a little cheaper because you can get a partial hook up (electric/water) for $14 a night plus the use of the dump station. The area has quite a few mines, some are still active, most abandoned with clams marked everywhere. So be careful of any minerals (rocks) you pick up, including gold ! Lol

Good dispersed camping, close to town

Free BLM dispersed camping with plenty of open flat areas with trees and bushes to allow for a sense of privacy to choose from. Saw a few other campers along the road but were able to easily find a private space for the night at 33.749426,-113.731680.

There were multiple spots with rock fire pits, some garbage but not horrible. Ground is very rocky so probably not good for tents. The road in is easy enough and fairly smooth and we made it easily quite a way back in our 26ft motorhome. 

Some road noise in the distance and occasional plane but other than that a quiet night. No amenities so pack in and pack out and bring your own water. 

Good cell reception with Verizon and AT&T.
