Peaceful boondocking.

Came up to Flagstaff to beat the heat in southern Az and it did not disappoint. Found a quiet spot with lots of rocks to make a fire ring and stayed for 6 days.   A little noise from the I-40 but not bad. The road in was dry but had ruts from muddy times but doable with our 26' travel trailer.  20 min drive back to Flag but there is a truck stop close by.

Close to town!

We spent one night here in February, we tried the lava tube drive before coming here, but there was a lot of rain recently and the road was too muddy for us. These roads seemed a bit more solid, but definitely still possible to get stuck in certain sections (just a heads up after a rain!) There were other campers around, but spread out enough that we found a nice private spot with room for the dogs to run around in the snow in the morning. Great spot for checking out flagstaff the next day!

Open Sky

Open meadow with trees in the area, with views of the surrounding mountains when the weather permits. Never packed at this location, even during the summer! Fairly close to Pilot which is also a plus.
