Along the Gila River corridor in State Trust Land, Needles Eye Ranch provides a drive-in campground with electric and water hookups. The Arizona State Land Department manages this forested site, which offers drinking water, restrooms, showers, and picnic tables for $75 per night. Recent visitors report no cell service and note the property tends to have few guests, creating a quiet environment. Access involves navigating rough, rocky roads that can challenge standard vehicles after about a mile. The Gila River has carved deep canyons in the surrounding terrain, and campers can explore camping near Winkelman for additional options in the area.
