Manzanita Campground

Our experience at this campsite near Sedona was amazing! The host was great help making sure we were settled in for the night. The camping spots were clean, well-spaced, and surrounded by stunning scenery. One of the highlights was the nearby creek, which was perfect for unwinding and added a peaceful ambiance to the whole experience. A great place for anyone looking to connect with nature and enjoy the beauty of the area!

Nice , pretty well kept site but just way too many people. Not my type of “camping “. (Lots of charcoal lit with lighter fluid , yuck) You can get wiffs of the toilet when the wind changes direction. Its OK. I’ll take off grid forest roads any day over this. The Creek is gorgeous, clean water thats great for a morning plunge . Also very close to slide rock (which is also wildly crowded but even more beautiful and super fun)

Beautiful spot. Full. Totally quiet at night. Can hear car traffic after 6 am, but quiet. Stream 20 yards from campsite. Pleasant host. Best to have reservation.caught wiffs of toilet a few times while walking grounds.

Wonderful camping location, it’s not large but I enjoy that the camp ground wasn’t over crowded. The river ran behind our campsite. Our site was only able to fit a smaller size tent, large tents would be difficult. It’s right off of the main road, I didn’t hear a lot of road noise where my campsite was located near the river.

After seeing pics and reading reviews of this campground, I was under the impression it was further out from main roads than it really is. But it is RIGHT off the main road in Sedona. It’s also smaller than what pictures make it to look like (i think site 19 in the corner is the best) so you’re near the dumpsters and camp host no matter what site you have. So, if quiet, hidden away, woodsy is your jam and is what you’re seeking, this isn’t the place to find it. However, the camp hosts are awesome. The campground is well kept. And even just right close by there are some cool woodsy areas along the creek to check out. It’s also a decent base camp for going off to explore other areas in and around Sedona. So overall, it is quite decent. Just don’t be misled by the pictures that make it look out there off the beaten path, or that it’s a big campground; in reality is it one relatively small loop.

So first time here and all I can say is wow. Clean site little heavy on the bugs could be from the large amounts of rain. Some site have bbq's some don't but all have fire pits. Bonus was the beautiful creek with the waterfall and swiming hole overall must stay

I don’t pay for campgrounds too much but needed to for a night here.

Clean bathrooms, clean campground and excellent hosts make this place a winner. The river access also added to the positives of the spot.

My only complaint is that a handful of sites are where you park on the pavement and have to walk down into your actual site. I was camping out of my Tahoe so it basically felt like I was camping in a parking lot. That’s on me though and my lack of knowledge on locations at this site. I made note of the spots with drive in access and next time I may need to use this CG I will choose a location that works better for me.

Not a lick of cell service here but access to Sedona is easy and overall this is a great area and CG for a weekend relaxing

Great camp hosts and nice shade

We stayed at campsite 12 which seemed to be the closest to the creek. The views were great as well as the host. Bathrooms in adequate proximity.

Such a beautiful campsite we were fortunate to find a spot to stay for two nights! The groundskeeper was so nice, we ended up talking to him for a few hours about different stories and things to see in Sedona. The short walk to the watering hole was a nice and my boyfriend had fun fishing. A shot ride to town and beautiful sites will keep us coming back.

15 minutes from all of Sedona. Even better to come back after a day of hiking in the mountains by Oak Creek. Very clean, management was very cool, and wood sold on site. I’ll def be back again next year. Light car traffic but not all through the night , the creek sounds wash the cars out. My stuff was super safe here throughout the day. Phone service with Verizon was just fine.

The campground has restrooms, a natural water pool (cold), and 5 mins away from the Sedona natural slides.

Just next to the stream, perfectly secluded with decent bathrooms. However don’t recommend going in the winter, there was an unexpected snowstorm and our tent collapsed, our mistake!

This campground is beautiful. We checked in with the camp host, who was very kind and helpful, and set up. The creek running by the campsites is amazing. The campground also sells firewood if you happen to forget it. Vault toilets were very clean. We will definitely stay again.

Right on oak creek with good entry to the creek, shaded, and good location from Sedona. A little close to the road, but the sound of the creek helps with that. Host was very friendly also. There was also yummy blackberries all around;)

The best part is the closeness to oak creek. Listening to the babbling brook at night is priceless. However, the sites are close to each other and you will be right off Hwy 89A so expect traffic noise until late evening. This campground’s reservations fill up in March/April for the coming summer so book early. I recommend spots 9-12.

Good site. Nice area but at night there were thousands of beetles and spiders. It’s was raining June bugs

Great campsite! It’s great to be inside a canyon, provides early shade for the entire campsite before the sun is truly down. Has a general store for just in case things.

Another small roadside campground that hugs the side of the hill. Sites were small and on top of each other. The best sites (taken, of course) were set back next to the creek and swimming hole. They were also the biggest sites, but I don’t think they were group sites. Watch out for snakes, there were signs everywhere. Every site had a picnic table and fire pit, but a burn ban was in effect so you could not have a campfire. I thought the price for the sites was a bit steep considering how close they were to the road (literally right next to the road) and the lack of amenities- no hook ups for RV’s and only a fairly dirty pit toilet.

If you’re looking for an intense, gorgeous, canyoning trip, there’s no better place! The canyon itself is beautiful and presents multiple places to camp or you can just explore the freezing cold pools and repel down the drop offs! guide required

This is pretty close to Sedona (10 minutes) and right along a river that’s fun to wade in (not sure if you can canoe it?), plus long hiking trails nearby. Cool cliffs and just really neat scenery and the campground only accept tents so you get to sleep next to the creek among shady trees. This was too full the first time we tried to visit so you will want to make reservations! I really like campsites without RV, no offense, and while it is kind of close to the highway you can’t tell at all. Try to get a site at the end that’s close to the creek.

Will be back asap, I haven't stoped thinking about this place since I left. If we would have waited until Friday we wouldn't have gotten in without a reservation. We got in I Wednesday so it was no problem. Can't wait to show all my friends.

Stopped at this campground on a trip across country. Apparently, it gets full, but we lucked out, and it was right by the river. We wanted to hike to Bell Rock and was only using this as a stopover, but we really enjoyed the scenery in the campground.

This is one of my absolute favorite campgrounds out here in AZ. Its one of the only ones located along the river. Plan ahead because sometimes a reservation is needed unless you get there at the right time during checkouts and before check ins!
