Hualapai Canyon

Wildlife watchers can explore this dispersed Bureau of Land Management site in the Hualapai Mountains, where bear scat indicates active wildlife presence in the area. The free campground requires good ground clearance for vehicle access, though some campers opt to stay along the road rather than driving to the designated camping area at the end. Located within the Kingman Field Office boundaries, the site allows pets and accommodates larger rigs despite the rough access road.

Campers report hilly terrain and proximity to highway amenities, with a truck stop just five minutes away providing restrooms, food, and fuel. However, long-term residents may occupy much of the available space. For those seeking developed facilities, Blake Ranch RV Park offers full hookups nearby.

Quiet & Easy

This was a nice cool area for end of a June. We had no problem in our lifted Tacoma but would suggest good clearance. We ended up camping along the road instead of the campground at the end because we are cheap. Bear scat in the area. Beautiful area too.

nice hilly spot off highway

the place is nice with hilly scenery and next to the highway. there’s a truck stop 5 min away so can offer clean toilet, food, shower, or gas if needed. would have loved to stay here but the place was littered with resident campers the whole way. we had to find another place because it was getting dark.
