Ash Fork Stone Dam

Hiking and biking enthusiasts will find trail access at this dispersed camping area near a historic dam site dating to 1898 and 1911. The location features two separate dams and sits within Kaibab National Forest, managed by the Forest Service with a few designated camping spots available. Access requires driving Forest Service Road 6E through the north Welch Road campground area, so campers should prepare for forest road conditions rather than paved surfaces.

The site allows campfires and provides lake access for water-based activities. Cell service coverage appears limited based on camper reports, making this better suited for those comfortable with minimal connectivity during their stay.
