Point Amargura Cabin

Accessible only by boat, this USDA Forest Service cabin sits on a secluded stretch of coastline within Tongass National Forest. The recently renovated structure accommodates tent camping at $25 per night with advance reservations available. No RVs are permitted, and pets are prohibited.

The forested site opens onto private beaches where campers can explore tidal zones and beachcomb along the shoreline. A hammock provides a designated relaxation spot between the cabin and water access. The boat-only approach means visitors can spot approaching traffic from a distance. For additional mainland options, campers can explore places to camp around Craig before making the water crossing to this remote location.

Fee Info

Only one change per reservation for all Alaska cabins is allowed. Change is defined as a modification to the start or end date of the reservation; after one change has been made, if additional changes are desired, the customer must cancel the current reservation and re-book the new dates.

Gorgeous!

Such a great place to get away. The cabin has been redone recently. Spacious, private, secluded beaches. Hammock for relaxation and plenty of beach to comb! Only accessible by boat, so you can see visitors coming.
