Great Campground
❗️Never get site 947. There is a tree directly in the middle of it❗️
My family enjoyed this campground. The sites are pretty nice for the most part, with a good amount of room. The roads however are pretty tight and a bigger rig could be tough to back in. Our site had very little grass due to the shade which made for a pretty sandy mess, but we have an outdoor rug that helped. The trees kept everything very cool so it was a small inconvenience for how nice that was. The pool, lazy river and splash pad were all very nice and well kept and big enough that we were never super crowded. The lazy river does stay full, but it is pretty good size. The bath house near our site was in good condition and pretty clean. The laundry mat had plenty of washers and dryers and the store had about anything you could need. We didn't do the arcade because it required a game card, but it seemed to have a few games in it. The campground is large enough that a good cart is almost a necessity. We were in the middle of the pool and beach, but really was a walk to either of them. Golf carts run about $330 for the week, but are worth it. The only complaints I have for the campground is the lack of enforcement of golf cart drivers underage. Also, the amount of golf carts on the road can make it difficult to navigate when pulling in and leaving. It was crazy how many people were going crazy on the things. Anyway, not a deal breaker on staying there, just be aware! I think we will be back next year. It's worth the drive from SEKY for a nice place to stay and enjoy the beach for a week!
Fun beach party campground!
If you like party vibes, making friends with your neighbors, and staying up late for a drink, this campground rules.
We had a basic inland site with full hookups and a picnic table. The area where inland sites are located has a bunch of trees, we loved the shade and it was perfect for our 22 ft trailer, but I can see a big rig having some trouble navigating.
There’s a pool and a lazy river for when you want to switch it up from the beach, and a general store with camper equipment, souvenirs, and stocked with a lot of things you may have forgotten at home. Decent prices too, not slammin’ deals but didn’t feel like there was a huge mark up on anything. Though we have a shower/toilet in our trailer, the bath houses were a clean and air conditioned alternative. They all had outdoor showers and foot rinsing stations, which were super convenient when cleaning up after the beach.
The beach was beautiful, shallows for a couple hundred yards when the tide was out, and relatively clean for a busy beach. We brought our dog with us, so we could take him to the beach before 10AM and after 5PM. You’re supposed to have them on a leash all of the time, but we found a spot devoid of others and we’re able to let him go to play frisbee in the water. Very dog friendly campground, by the way.
Overall, we loved our time there and are even planning on coming back next year! Again, an awesome campground for outgoing folks looking for a beach party vibe. I would steer clear if you’re looking for something quiet and private.
We love it here but they no longer have an indoor pool and that’s a big bummer for us soooo
Super friendly staff. Great spots but no indoor pool. Sooooo that stinks
Beech trip for the 4th
Old campgrounds but have full hook-ups. Beach side has sandy lots with waist hi weeds around electric poles and water spouts. Clean new bathrooms. The golf cart parade every night is an accident waiting to happen with children driving them and Zero street lights at best and people can't cross from the beach to get back. Pools were nice and Food trucks every night were excellent 👌.
Enjoyed our stay
We spent the last week of July 2022 here, last year for mustang week. As anyone should suspect, it was busy. Golf carts are everywhere, as expected, and they seemed to have a golf cart parade almost every night. Despite that, when we were at our campsite (site 788), it wasn’t so bad.
They have 3 different food trailers that come there at different times throughout the week. We ate from the BBQ one and it was pretty good, you get a good hefty portion. We really enjoyed the funnel cake trailer, though we didn’t get a funnel cake lol. I got their deep-fried Oreos, and they were great. Most I’ve had have a ton of batter on them and sometimes isn’t cooked all the way through. I got these three times during our stay and each time they were just right, just enough batter to cover them and fried to perfection in my opinion. My wife got deep fried cheesecake and loved it, said it was rich in flavor. She also got the deep-fried banana pudding and enjoyed that as well.
We used the laundry facility once during our stay. We didn’t have any problems but there were a few washers giving a customer some problems, but a maintenance guy was there quickly and fixed the problem. There isn’t any hot water washing which wasn’t a concern for us. The campground store was sufficient. We used the restrooms a couple times while we were out walking, and they were decent considering how many people are there.
The lazy river and pool are very nice, and we enjoyed those. While there are a lot of people in there during the day, it really wasn’t all that bad, still plenty of room to move around and not feel like your over capacity in an elevator. They have a kid’s sections that looks cool as well.
Our site, 788, was large and easy to get into. FHUs and all worked fine. Did need some minor leveling, it’s sand. Plenty of room for parking. There isn’t a fire pit because fires aren’t allowed. Easy access to the beach.
The staff was very friendly and professional. They have staff on patrol riding around on golf carts. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would come back.

Perfect ocean front spot
Very nice park! We had ocean front spot site 695. Spot was sandy and looked a little sketchy to back into, looks as if someone got stuck. We ended up backing up just fine with no problems and pulled out just fine as well. Bathrooms were close and very clean, great water pressure. They pick your trash right at your spot every morning. Had a minor electrical problem, called and they were right there vey quick and fixed the issue. Lots of things to do, Pool, lazy river, splash pad, and kayak/peddle boats. Putt putt cost money but it’s available. Gulf cart rentals as well. The ocean beach is so beautiful and it was not busy. Just a perfect spot. I recommend going to Broadway on the beach for things to do in the area.
We did how ever have family fly in and rented a cabin. Sharon from the office was not so friendly she only deals with cabin rentals so if your here to camp in campground it’s a great place!

Awesome family fun campground
We had a great time staying at site 726 on the beach. So convenient to everything. Bath houses were clean. Plenty of family fun activities. Kids on bicycles and scooters did scare me a bit riding around with all the traffic. All in all id recommend

BEST VACATION
We came here for summer vacation with the entire family. It was the best vacation ever. We were so close to the beach and the pool that everyone did their own thing. Sites are a little tight but thats to be expected. Plenty of things to do outside the campground. We didn’t leave often.

Pirateland tight sites
I would like to give 5 stars but unable to. Campground is very large, easy beach access and clean. Issues you may experience are the sites are small in width and each rv is very close. When you have loud neighbors that don't know to be aware of this or don't care of anyone around them it makes for a non relaxing time. The sewer hookups are non threaded pipes so if you do not bring some sort of weight to put on the sewer inlet and empty your black tank you will have a stinky mess everywhere. Golf carts are everywhere here and kids run around on them all night with radios blaring. If you don't mind to be curtious or your neighbors then this is for you.
Beach Wonderland!
We loved this place! Its beautiful and right on the beach! We were inland and rented a golf cart to travel around. Lots of stuff for kiddos and everyone is super friendly! Will defiantly return!
Good for off season locals
The one thing that really bothered me was that they had dozens of people just riding around drinking beer and driving all day. Then they would just Cruz around drinking and driving at night? With dogs and babies ?
Either way:
Bathrooms: 5/5 clean & air-conditioning in all of them.
Sites: 3/5 just average/fine
Pools: 5/5 full on kids water park + Olympic pool + lazy river.
Food: 3/5 loads of options. Nothing good. They don't let Uber eats or DD come deliver and you have to meet them at the gate.
Closeness to other sites: 1/5 you are up each other's buttcracks
Dog rating: 4/5 no problem but also SO dog friendly we had to be very mindful of others not having their dogs on leash.

Large resort style campground
The campground is huge and you can easily get lost. There are lots of things to do with the family but it can get expensive quickly. Visitors even if they are local will get charged to stop in even for the day.
Fun place
Clean, beach is beautiful a lot of fun. Pulling on and off sites is challenging because they are so tight. Campground is so large you need a rental golf cart(expensive) to enjoy all they have to offer,
Fun Family Reunion!
Had a ton of fun with our small family reunion at Pirateland! Not all of us had campers, so the fact that the campground offered cabins next to campsites was a big plus for us! Activities are tons of fun! Our crew really enjoyed candy bar bingo and karaoke! All is family friendly! Campground is busy! Be prepared for the sites to be close together and golf carts galore! However it was a ton of fun to rent a golf cart and I highly recommend it, not only to ride to the beach but the glow parade is a ton of fun as well! Truly my only complaint is that cell phone signal sucks, I have Verizon and my data never worked. Pirateland does have Wifi but it rarely worked for me and barely streamed Netflix. But hey, it’s vacation right? I never had any issues making calls or sending texts! Overall great vacation, just not 5 stars because of how close the sites are together and the wifi, however I would recommend! Great family fun.

Something for everyone
Met some friends here for the weekend. Had such a great time. We did the beach, peddle boats, pools and all. The staff is super friendly and helpful. We chose shaded spots and even tho this place is huge, there is plenty of room on the sites. Dogs enjoyed their long walks as well.
Big! Fun! Clean!
We had a great spot; right on the beach. The park was huge, seemed like a thousand spaces. Would be very overwhelming in the summer time. There were also permanent homes. Each campsite had decent room and a pavilion with the picnic table. The laundry situation was pretty great. There was plenty of room and enough machines for everyone.
Family fun
Huge resort. Lazy river, pool, cafe, ice cream, game room and steps to ocean.shopping close by.when busy there are tons of golf carts so you need to be careful. Sites can get muddy.nice pavillions at some sites.
Great Family Park
We stayed here the end of October. The park was about 70% full. They had putt putt, arcade, splash park, pool and great beach access. Wi-Fi was almost unusable. Some site had concrete and some did not, this was not notated on the map so if that’s important to you make sure you ask. Lots of kids and pets. Golf cart was $30 for 24hr’s. Lots of laundry equipment. The staff were great. Cell signal was great. We paid about $50 per night
We love it
This place is awesome especially if you have kids. Bath houses are nice and clean, splash pool is top notch, putt putt, food, and the beach here is really nice. Only negative is the roofs over the little picnic tables are weirdly low. I hit my head multiple times daily.
Family oriented
This place was great but unfortunately we only got to stay 2 days before being evacuated for a hurricane. The campground did give us a voucher to come back at a later time. The bath houses were clean and they had several activities going on at the pool
Place for family
Great place for your family to have a great weekend or week at the beach. Lots of kid things to do close to shopping centers and eight in the beach.
Let’s of fun
Stayed for a week and it was a lot of fun. Rent a golf cart and ride around. Make sure to decorate it because there is a cart parade every night from 9-11. It sits right on the beach and has a nice pool and a lazy river. Some sites are kinda cramped while others are very spacious. When you check in they give you a paper saying to lock your stuff up like coolers and bikes. We never had any issue with anyone messing with our stuff.

Family History
We stayed here for many many years, we have seen the campground grow and lose it’s quaint family charm. Sadly it is falling prey to commercialism. Still has some nice spots and they used to not allow motorcycles. Not sure if that is still the case.
Fun but Tight
Young or old, you and your family will stay occupied here but boy are these sites tight. We have stayed here twice, once in Fall and in Spring, on opposite sides of the grounds. Our first site was awful! Not level, roots everywhere, extremely poor placement of water and sewer, and very tight parking through trees. The second site was a lot better but muddy and far away from the main center, pool, etc.
Only a few miles away from the heart of Myrtle Beach and beautiful Murrells Inlet.

Family camping
Stayed during off season, great price and not crowded
Pros and cons
Pros- Friendly and helpful staff everywhere. Our sand and grass lot was level. We had nice neighbors all around us. Our family loved the pool and the kiddos couldn’t get enough of the pirate themed water park and lazy river. They have a well stocked store. A restaurant and game room. A food truck was also available daily. Easy access to the beach. The bathhouse was clean, well stocked and climate controlled.
Cons- We were all packed in snug like sardines. Traffic is busy always.
