Perfect place close to Charleston
Perfect place to bring the camper! Very close to downtown Charleston, the beach, and just about everything else. The staff is very friendly and the bath houses are perfect after a long day. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip south. There are plenty of sites available to pick from, from pull through to back in. Definitely worth checking out if you are in the area.
Lovely campground with everything you need
We spent 3 weeks here waiting out the weather to the north in February and March. The folks here were super nice and helpful. The sites were all excellent and not on top of one another. We felt like we had everything we needed.

Is spacious, reasonable, has pul throughs, a food truck on site, , and cable. And beautiful old oaks. And its quiet.

Great stay!
Beautiful location! Easy spots to get in and out of, not on top of each other. Great WiFi. Super pleasant and helpful staff. Clean bathrooms, Nice dog run, great food truck. Only down sides were the mosquitoes, the VERY aggressive speed bumps right at the entrance, and the traffic getting in and out of the campground. The highway and downtown Charleston is a left turn out of the entrance, but put your patient hat on and hope for the patience of the other drivers.
Beautiful🥰
This place is awesome. Huge oaks covered in Spanish moss and well shaded. Older facilities but kept very clean. Staff is great and very helpful. Close proximity to a lot of fun things to do.

Amazing views and luscious greens
This campsite was magical! We were only able to stay two nights and I wish we could have stayed more. So much to see here! I also really appreciated the space between campsites. There are a lot of crawling creatures and I even showered with some, but didn’t mind :) I’m learning it’s part of camping. We rode our bikes to an overlook tower and witnessed some breathtaking views and thousands of tiny crabs walking the ground. Would highly recommend this place and the staff is super friendly and helpful :)
Spacious, Wooded, Closest to Charleston
Large park with paved and grass sites. I stayed in a paved full hookup site P2 and, even though there were a fair amount of guests, they spread everyone out so I had no immediate neighbors. To control the spacing, they do not let you pick your own site. The facilities looked basic, and the office building that greets guests needs to be remodeled, but the park is clean and felt very safe. Lovely, large oaks with gray moss provide that quintessential Charleston/Savannah setting. There’s a small pool, dog park, pasture with cows, and a play area. My favorite feature was the recycling area! Almost no RV parks provide recycling, so the fact that this park does is really nice. Tip: Beware of ant piles.

Great space and location to Charleston
Upon arriving it was a very nice experience. Chris in the office was so helpful and he answered all our questions about the area and gave great recommendations of restaurants.
The campground is very large and spacious and many sites have mature trees. Bathhouses are clean, although they are older, and yes as someone else has mentioned it does smell strongly with deodorizers. I guess better than a bad smell.
We got a tip from a neighboring RVer to spray for small ants anywhere that the RV touches the ground so the ants won’t crawl up and get in our RV as it did theirs. We promptly went to buy ant spray and never had a problem. The ant problem could possibly be from recent rains they had.
The road in front of campground is extremely busy (Hwy 17) and I wouldn’t attempt ever turning left to get out. Just take a right and another right behind campground to get you out. It may take longer but worth your sanity.
Note that if the food truck Provata is onsite, give it a try. Great Italian food, all homemade including the bread. It was so good and the owners were so sweet!
Good spot
Good place to stop for the night. It was pretty open but might feel crowded if all the spots were filled. Staff were friendly and helpful. We came in late and left early.
