Santa Fe Skies RV Park
About
Santa Fe Skies RV Park is family built, owned and operated. It sits on 17 acres overlooking the beautiful mountains of Santa Fe, New Mexico. We are "Big Rig friendly". Fifty five sites are pull-thrus designed to accommodate large motor coaches and travel trailer rigs. All sites are equipped with 20/30/50 amp electrical service. Water and Sewer are available at all pull-thru and almost all back-in sites. We are "pet friendly". Free Wifi is available.
The RV Park is within a short driving distance to two major shopping malls (one an outlet mall), several restaurants, a large supermarket and other local businesses. We are located just off the scenic Turquoise Trail, which includes the historic Villages of Cerrillos and the artist center of Madrid. It is only a short distance from the 17th Century Spanish Colonial Living History Museum, El Rancho de Las Golondrinas, which was the last overnight stop for travelers coming to Santa Fe on the El Camino Real from Mexico.
The city of Santa Fe is located at the base of the Sangre de Cristo mountains at an altitude of 7,000 ft. above sea level. (That is 1,500 ft. higher than Denver, Colorado.) Since the Santa Fe Skies RV Park sits on a ridge just outside of town, you get a panoramic view of the entire Santa Fe area! Not only can you see the historic Sangre de Cristo Mountains, where the sunset makes the mountains shine with a red glow in the evening (hence the name "Sangre de Cristo" or "Blood of Christ"), you can also see the Jemez Mountains to the west, and in the south and southwest the Cerrillos Hills, the Ortiz Mountains and the Sandia Peak at the base of which lies the city of Albuquerque.

Overnight at Santa Fe
We stayed overnight at this campground and had a good experience. Check-in was easy and the gentleman at the front desk was helpful with information about the train, which is literally two minutes away and super affordable to go to either downtown Santa Fe or Albuquerque. The bathrooms were clean (water was hot!!!) and I appreciated the washer & dryers that took credit cards. The sites aren’t laid out in a grid so they do feel like you are getting more space and there is plenty of metal sculptures to add to the ambience. I wouldn’t say there is an enormous amount to do at the actual campground (there is a walking trail), but it was a good base for us to take the train to the city in the morning and then get back on the road.
Great RV Park
We stayed here for a couple of nights. The RV Park was very quiet and peaceful. They have a wonderful walking trail. It is close to town. This park is super clean. I highly recommend this park.
Great stay in Sant Fe
Loved this RV park! The host were really nice and helpful. Sites were spacious and nice layer out with walkways. Not far from local businesses.
Great place to stay in Sante Fe
The site we got was really spacious and directly in front on the walking path (really convenient for dog walks).
The office folks were really nice and helpful.
We only stayed for one 2 nights but, we’ll stay again if we go back to Sante Fe.
Well designed park
There is not a bad site in this park that we could tell. All are level, spacious, and have a concrete patio. Wifi was strong enough for streaming at site 18. Nice trail around entire park for dog walks. Also a dog park. They have a solar array so assume this is supporting at least part of the park’s electrical needs. Laundry runs off of credit card which I prefer to coins. Clubhouse and outdoor patio look nice but did not use. Metal sculptures and collection of various vintage trucks and other implements are interesting. Convenient location only 20 minutes to plaza.

Santa Fe Skies RV Resort
Nice place. Good size lots. Pretty level.
Really nice campground outside of Santa Fe
This is a really nice campground. Sites are spacious and each one has a patio with table and chairs. The grounds are decorated with sculpture and old earthmoving and farm equipment. It's a great location to view the Sangre De Cristo mtns to the north and sunsets to the west. Easy to get to Santa Fe from here.
GREAT Santa Fe RV Park just 25 minutes from downtown.
We REALLY enjoyed our stay at Santa Fe Skies RV Park! We had no idea what to expect, and while the roads and overall terrain of the park were "rustic," the nice cement pads and patio furniture at each site made it feel really nice. We got to check in ahead of time online, and got assigned our site without having to stop at the office first. We parked our 42' fifth wheel no problem. We were right across from the old tractors and cars, and walking trails which was a nice surprise! The dog park was excellent. If we're ever in Santa Fe again, we'll be back!
Easy to get to
This campground was off the beaten path easy to get to. Quite rustic but quaint. Pull thru big enough for our 41 withe a tow and we didn't have to unhitch. We had to use our pads on the soft to level due to being a little on a slope but easy enough. Water pressure was great. Wifi good enough, we were only here for the night. This time of year is windy as hell! It's no joke! They have all the imenities.
Scenic Setting, Thoughtful Layout, and Cool Outdoor Art
Scenic campground with a thoughtful layout and very cool outdoor sculpture art throughout. Very enjoyable single night stay at a great park with great staff!
Desert style campground with great amenities
Friendly staff, great campground setup. Very accomodating to travelers with dogs as they habe a dog walking path and dog park. The showers at the main house are free and open 24/7 - big and well maintained. The propane station was great too as we do not have a rig with portable bottles. The sites are beautiful with different art sculptures all throughout the campground. Plus it is a gated campground which definitely made our family feeling safe and secure. The sites are full hookup plus wifi which was decently strong. Would definitely recommend this campground!

A Destination!
This is exactly how I thought this park would be. If you want green grass and paved sites, then this place is not for you. But if you want something creative and beautiful, with wonderful vistas, then stop here for a few days.
The Wi-Fi was surprisingly fast and the staff was so nice. There are metal art pieces throughout the park, and a great dog park.
I can’t wait to come back!
Beautiful views
Absolutely gorgeous views of the mountains. Low-friction check in process, all digital. Got an email the morning of our stay with a link to pay, got our site info once we did. Nice location. Well equipped for freezing temps - heat tape on the spigots with enough spare to protect your pressure regulator!
Just traveling
We needed a break stayed 2 nights took long long hot showers that where super clean and did laundry nice machines well maintained park.
Nice Location and Amenities
We enjoyed our stay at Santa Fe Skies.
There is a large building with multiple shower and bathroom stalls so you can take a long shower if you want to. There is also a large office/gathering area within the same building.
The sites are well maintained and clean. Plus, they have a contactless payment and checkin available. You just go to their web site, pay online, and they send you an email with your site number. Very easy.
Location allows you to drive only about one mile to catch the regional train into downtown Santa Fe which is easy, safe, and fast with no parking hassles or cost.
Santa Fe Skies also has interesting metal sculpture art located around the park and also has a nice walking trail around the park. They can easily handle many large rigs.
Park is open year round
I spoke with the office and the park is open year round.
Great place to stay.
This is an excellent campground. It is well maintained, the staff are so nice, helpful and friendly. The sites are spaced out well. There is art scattered around the property as well as along the walking paths. The sunsets are amazing all within just 5 to 10 minutes from town. This is going to be our new go to place when staying in or around Santa Fe.
Fun & Funky
Nice back in sites are wide with vegetation and patios. The dog park and walking trail are handy. The views are special and there was musical entertainment one night at the club patio. The gravel sites and driveway was a bit dusty, otherwise this would be 5 star park.
Lovely location
We just spent a couple of nights here. Enjoyed our site, very level. Nice dog park and walking trail. Would of liked to of heard the music tomorrow night, but alas we have to get home.

Great Place
We are newbies to the RV Park world and I must say for our first official RV Park stay this place was amazing. Quiet with beautiful views. Public facilities are superb and super clean. Will save this place as my go to stay in Santa Fe.
Perfect spot!
I was a little hesitant to reserve this place after I saw the last review. I’m so glad I did. Here are some of the amazing aspects of Santa Fe Skies.
- Mountain View’s
- Awesome sculpture art
- Walking trains (w/ doggie bags)
- Fenced dog park!!
- All the needs - electric, water, wifi
- CONTACTLESS CHECK-IN!! I paid online and checked in, online. (COVID friendly)
All around great spot.

Worst Ever from Site to Staff
Skies is in the name because this park is on a hilltop, but this park has done a terrible job addressing the slope and approach angle of the back-in sites 1-10. Instead of spending the money to retain the dirt around these sites and provide a more level platform for your rig, the sites slope down towards the rear and much more to one side than the other. More troublesome is the cement block retaining walls and trees right where they should NOT be (on the corners of the sites). I scraped the side of my trailer against the tree branches and will need to replace windows and a skylight that got damaged. When I called the office for assistance to back into site 6, post damage, the owner of the park showed up, did not introduce himself as the owner, and chose to argue with me about who was responsible for the tree branches blocking the entrance to this site. He questioned my experience and offered no apology or empathy for my property damage. A dozen maneuvers later, and further scraping against the branches, I was in the site. The owner said that his insurance would not apply here because I was the driver. To note, I had booked a pull-through spot and even confirmed it via phone earlier that day. Upon check-in, I was given the back-in site 6, because the spot they had for me was occupied by a guest overstaying their reservation. Due to Covid-19, only 60% occupancy is allowed by the state, so they had other sites available to put me in (or the guests who decided to stay longer!) yet they insisted site 6 was the only option - right next to high voltage electrical panels supplying the entire park. After the brutal parking experience, I called the front desk to suggest they provide an escort in the future for these sites, but the irate employee actually cussed me out and was so interruptive that I was unable to provide my full name without continuously being spoken over. It was the most absurd conversation and certainly the WORST customer service EVER. This park deserves no stars, because the owner himself was aware of these issues yet offered nothing but insult to injury. My trailer was parked here for 5 days, because the other park near town were full at the time.
Nice site with Great Views
Nice site with Great Views of the whole valley. Interesting sculptures and old vehicles and machinery. Great location close to downtown Santa Fe but yet far enough away to feel like country. No pool or kiddie area but still nice site with patio furniture and pad.

Cute place
The sites were nice with cement patios. Some were a little closer to other campers. The art sculptures and machinery were fun for the littles to see. We enjoyed the trail around the perimeter and they even had a band come out to play on Saturday.

Beautiful sunsets and welcoming staff
I typically rate campgrounds as they fit into 1 of 5 categories. This campground will be rated as a Basecamp — grounds that offer a comfortable home base that you’re happy to return to after a day of exploring the surrounding area. Ratings for this category are based on: Value to cost: 4 Overall grounds: 4 Utility of sites (hookups, layout, accessibility): 4 Local Attraction Proximity: 5 Reservation Process/Ease of Getting a Site: 5 Amenities: 5 Customer Service: 5 Cleanliness: 4
The staff at this place are 5-star, lovely & friendly people. We stayed 5 nights are these grounds to explore the surrounding areas — Santa Fe (15 min from Historic Plaza), Albuquerque (50 minutes via 25 or a lovely trip down the nearby Turquoise Trail) and Bandera National Monument (1 hour). Each spot has a nice concrete patio. Though sites are somewhat close, you’re not right on top of your neighbors.
In COVID times, there were some restrictions like the market & office being closed. However, there was staff there for any issues. We used the laundry and restrooms, both kept immaculate. I received a package at the resort, a seamless process.
Our biggest gripes were the water pressure (not terrible but definitely not great) and the amount of ants around. We brought it up to the office on day 2 and they said they were awaiting a pet-friendly spray delivery. By day 5, the ants were still attempting to lift & move our trailer. It made it difficult to enjoy the outdoors, though the views are really beautiful. Sunsets are epic and there is a walking trail around the grounds.
Good price, good value, great staff... an excellent spot to stay in the Santa Fe area!

Kids Loved This Place!
We stayed here for 2 nights after leaving Albuquerque and exploring Jimenez Springs and Bandelier National Monument.
The owners have made sculptural installations throughout the park and the kids loved playing on them.
Beautiful sunset views. Clean facilities and friendly staff. Feels like you are far from town which wasn’t an issue for us.

Loved our visit here!
Great views all around. About 20 minutes from Santa Fe Plaza. The lots are nice and flat and the hookups are super easy. They have a great fenced in dog run and a track around the campground to walk or run. We really loved our visit here.
Very nice park
Level gravel full hookup service. Rally room very large and outdoor space nice. WiFi not so great and ATT service poor. No cable tv service. Rest rooms very clean.
Great location! Large sites. Very clean.
This is the park in Santa Fe for big rigs. Friendly and family owned. They create a sense of community for travelers with local performers and dance lessons. Beautiful patio outside of the community building.
This park has sculptures and antique ranch equipment throughout. There’s also a trail around the whole park for waking. Beautiful views from the north and west side of the park.
Restrooms and showers are extremely clean. I wish we could assign 4.5 stars. We would have given this park 5 stars if there were more trees/shade. That’s par for the course however in the high desert.
Hard to find but nice overall
We had a nice stay at this campground, but be careful with directions if you rely on your phone. We put the address into the Maps app and got completely lost (another story). We did find it eventually and ended up having an enjoyable night here. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the lots were paved and well-maintained. It was a fairly large campground and the facilities were nice and clean (and yes, they have showers). The funniest part was the field of farm equipment! Even though we had some trouble finding it, I would definitely stay here again.
