Meh. Lots of full-timers but close to Disneyworld

We're members of Thousand Trails but we had to pay extra to stay here. It was a place to stay, nothing special. If you are there in the winter, the pool was cold and closes early. It is basically a place to stay and not very scenic. There are a lot of full-timers with their 'stuff.' The people in the site next to us had an outdoor shed with tons of junk everywhere. The park was close to Disneyworld and we dropped about $400 on a day at Epcot and had to drink our way through all the countries to make it worth our time since many of the attractions/rides were closed. I had fond memories of times at Disneyworld in the past with my kids but now, it feels like an artificial money suck. If you are in the area, I would recommend one of the other RV parks that has more to offer.

Location, Location, Location.

This place is all about location. You can practically ride your bike to Disney or Sea World properties.

The campground is typical Encore, tight and unappealing. As the one review said, if you come in off-hours, it will be a hassle. Oh, and you will hear sirens and helicopters ALL the time.

If you Uber, you can get anything you need without moving your vehicle. Walk to groceries, restaurants, Old Town is 1.5 miles from the traffic light. Dinner theater is a 5 minute ride down 192 (depending on Traffic).

I'd rather be at TTO but, this place is a great way to stay out of TTO when your 2 weeks are up.

Hidden Gem

We have stayed here 2 times for 2 weeks at a time and we live it. The park is quiet the neighbors are cool and there's even security for that added sense of safety. It's close to many restaurants and grocery stores and even Disney. I highly recommend this spot

Needs to be updated

Very dated and messy. Lots were muddy and not mowed. We had one of the few paved sites so we were lucky. The premium sites are not really anything more then grass. Lots of full timers and messy lots. Staff is super nice!!

Sloppy mud pit

The Pictures of this campground online are great, but in reality only the grounds by the entry and amenities are the only parts that are really taken care of. Except for the few concrete pads up front, all the sites are on grass. While you can't blame the park for the weather, recently there's been a lot of rain and rigs of all sizes are up to their rims in muck. Seems to be a draining problem as the water stands for several days. My site is still mucky after 3 days of sunshine. The staff is supper friendly and will try to accommodate your needs. This location is very good if your here to see all the attractions. You are only 10 to 15 min away from all the area parks, and lots of shopping, restaurants just minute away. Be aware, many sites in this park have park model mobile homes and some are rented out to some interesting characters. I would come back here again but only to a spot with a concrete pad.

Had lots of noise.

Had lots of noise park needs to have sites redone not level mostly older park models and trailers that had junk around them. The entrance was clean but not in the park

kind sloppy and not well kept

The pictures on the website do not represent what the park looks like. They seldom even rake the leaves, missing patches of grass and weeds galore. Facilities are getting that "used up and not refurbished" look and the manager - god do not go to her with a problem, I told her the pool was messed up once and instead of asking what's wrong and addressing it - she bit my head off asking if I was staying there. SMH.

Anyway - they really need to take better care of the grounds and don't get me started on that joke of a security team up front - they let everyone in. I rarely see them stop anyone.

If you value your safety - don't drive through the back - looks like a ghetto and just got notice that a sex offender moved in - called the office and they said - oh well.

Sherwood Forest isn’t the best campground we have stayed in. The staff doesn’t help out much, the water turns off a lot and so does the electric from time to time. If you have a problem they act like your the crazy one.

Not Fancy But Nice

Nice campground, friendly staff. Can’t speak to price because we’re Thousand Trails members and it’s included in our plan. Not sure where the information that they don’t allow dogs came from, as practically everyone there has a dog or two. Nice pool, well kept mini golf, and convenient to shopping and entertainment, including Disney, Sea World, and Universal. Nice bike path so you can get to shopping and restaurants by bicycle if you want. Decent amount of room between spaces, and many spaces have concrete patios - some have paved parking for rigs.
