Beautiful desert site
I had to change my reservation three times, and the staff was incredibly helpful. They went above and beyond to give us the easiest possible stay. The campground itself was reasonably clean with a gorgeous view of the desert and mountains. Sites laid out well and most are pull through and accommodate big rigs. Pool, laundry, general store, showers and lavatories. They did not however have the shuttle to the silver mine as advertised (ended with Covid) and the Enterprise rental in Barstow does not “pick you up“ and were rude besides.

Clean
Clean. Has bathrooms and laundry
Staff friendly and knowledgable
It is a bit rough around the edges. Easy to miss the turn because it is on road 15 next to highway 15- yikes. Tough on the road weary. It has a dog run. Near the highway which can be convenient or noisy. Site is nice, bathrooms could use some love.
Quick Nights Stop
Clean facilities and fit the need for the night. The interstate is loud, so it did impact a good nights sleep. Over all, a cute little KOA

Standard KOA, good wifi
Pretty standard KOA, some shade, level gravel sites with useable WiFi. Bathhouse was adequate, updated and clean. Convenient to Routes 15, 40 and 66.
Kind of a mixed bag.
I stopped here for two nights to wait out some bad weather that prevented me from going from point A to point B. It was nice to be able to capitalize on the opportunity to take a shower, do some laundry and top off propane. Not so nice: the camp store was dismally stocked, half the laundry machines were out of service, including all of the large machines, the main restrooms and showers at the front of the site were well cared for, up to usual KOA standards, however the smaller restroom unit in the rear of the property was substandard. Stayed in site #61. This site is well shaded but forget about having good solar panel exposure.
Great for an overnight stop or two
Friendly and we'll stocked office. Staff were always available. Clean showers and bathroom. Pool was cold which is great in the heat. Not all sites have shade but most do.
Splash N Dash
OK for one night ... kinda dirty
One night stop
This is over priced, maintenance nonexistent, dirty, park. Doesn't meet KOA standards in my eyes? Splash and Dash Stop
Pretty meh, fine for an overnight
The office plays music on outdoor speakers facing the campsites during business hours. Unless you are in the back half of the park, you’ll be listening to whatever radio station the host chooses, including commercials, all day long. The site was level and had bushes between sites for privacy. Easy on/off I15 or I40. The dump hookup was so far forward in our pull thru site that it was next to my drivers door. I would have needed a 30’ hose to hook up. Pool was greenish. Jump Mat was closed. Everything felt a bit shabby but not unsafe. Our fire pit was falling apart and full of cigarette butts and a beer can. Road noise from I15. If it weren’t for the fact that the sites have better privacy and elbow room than average and are completely flat, this would be 2 stars.
Barstow,CA Koa
Road noise and maintenance people not really maintenance people. Overpriced tiny store.
Barstow KOA
We needed a place to stay for our last 2 nights on the road before going home after the place we reserved was not a good fit for our 40 ft Allegro Bus. We called and they had a perfect spot for us for the 2 days. It's clean and quiet here and right off the freeway. We couldn't hear the freeway from our RV. We were so glad we found the KOA. Pull throughs that fit our 40ft plus tow. There's gravel but flat so leveling isn't difficult with the blocks. Plenty of room, some spots with trees and some bushes. Our 4 slide outs fit with no problem.
Typical KOA
It was a typical KOA. Clean bathrooms and showers. Nice store. The pool was awesome. It was graveled so low dirt and dust. It was a 106 so there wasn’t much to do. The cable was good and WiFi was good.
Great Layover Site
Great place for a stop over. Level sites.
Talk about good security
I love places that are child friendly because it shows when people truly care for others and this place sure does! Yes, it's a hole in the wall but what did you expect Barstow to be>??? This RV spot however is a KAO and has tons of family-friendly things to do so no one will be bored. Yes it's parallel to the major free way but I mean it's well kept and plenty of things to do. For sure a Good Spot for a day or two

Highway noise
Passed through for a night. Looked to be an average KOA - several cute things to do. The park itself is basically a gravel lot but they have done some nice work with trees and shrubs to make it seem less so. Unfortunately it is extremely close to I-15 and the traffic on 15 never stops. It made for a rough night’s sleep. We’ll find somewhere else to stay next time.
A fun Oasis
A great spot that we can’t wait to go back and spend a couple of days at. The amenities at this KOA are great. Pool...playground...horseshoes...archery range...etc.
Just up the road too is the Calico western ghost town.
They have some decent shaded areas that made it look like just about every spot would be a good one.
We had a spot in the front with a patio and everything. It was very nice except for the sewer drain being at the front end of the site (I had to put an extension on my poop pipe)...the other down side of being in the front is the traffic noise from the highway...I could hear it all night.
Last bit — the staff is very responsive and helpful. The sewage pipe had a back up in it (thankfully learned this with grey water!). The staff got out there and foxed it right away. The only other weird thing was my 30AMP power surge protector said polarity was reversed on the L1 or L2...but everything worked fine.
Get some sleep in your A/C
Barstow is a good mileage stop between Las Vegas and SoCal. The campgrounds are pretty quiet with only a little road noise (surprisingly, due to its proximity to the highway) and very easy to access. The Sites aren’t very private, being so close together but there are small bushes that offer some semblance of separation. The gravel pads are a bit different than most KOAs and don’t create that fine white dust, which is a plus. The full hookups worked well but there is no Wi-Fi and all amenities were closed aside from laundry and bathrooms (neither that we used). Pool was closed due to construction on it. The town doesn’t offer much in the way of amenities. You can grab some food at the diner across the street or head to the Calico Ghost Town 3 miles up The road. The biggest draw here is the electricity to keep your A/C running in the high temps.

Unsafe playground
We decided to stop here that the kids can play on the playground and jumping pad. The playground is 100ft from the Interstate 15. Some parts are dangerous to play, especially the swing. That needs absolutely immediate maintenance. The jumping pad is only allowed to use if the parents sign a waiver. At the morning we got the information it’s only open between 3-5pm. At 3pm it wasn’t inflated and we got the answer it’s closed due to winter. We have currently 65 degrees by sky clear no wind. The bathrooms are older, but clean and ok. The spots itself are mostly pull through and with gravel. So it was the worst experience for a KOA Campground. If you want that your kids playing on an unsafe playground next to the freeway you are right here.

Oasis in the desert
All the great KOA perks. Camp Store. Full hookups. A refreshing pool.
Small tentsites
Great pass through campground. They have Archery, a pool, and a store. There are restaurants near the campground. The bathrooms were just ok.
Nice KOA
We were driving thru and decited to spend the night, they have all the nice things in the store, pool, quite place
