Not for tents
We had originally planned to stop here for a night based on good reviews. But once arriving & doing a quick drive thru changed our minds. Tent camping area is just small grassy area behind laundry house. Had to drive all the way thru to even see the river. We did see a tugboat on our drive thru though. Just seems too run down & not cared for. Now rv spots by the water looked nice- but not a good place for tents.
Great campground.
If you like tugboats you'll love this place.
Beautiful views! ☀️
Tom Sawyer RV park was really cute and the staff was very helpful and communicative regarding check in. The campground is set on the Arkansas side of the Mississippi River. We arrived in time to see the sunset and woke up in time to see the sunrise over the river, both were spectacular. We stayed on site 67 right on the river, it had both water and electric hookups, neither of which we ended up using. There is a ton of space for a dog to run around, but unfortunately lots of people don’t pick up after their pooch, so that put a little damper on play time. The main reason for only 3 stars was the bathrooms, they were pretty run down and I would definitely not want to take a shower in them. Great place for one night passing though. If for the views alone.

No call back
Called to make reservations and no one called back.
Good spot
A bit out of town but a great spot on the river.
Dirt & Dust
Needs updated
Not great for tent camping
Tent area had to many insects which made it difficult to set up camp. No fires in the area due to grass nor fire rings. RV sites look great since you can be near the river
Unique spot
Great spot right on the Mississippi River, barges traveling up and down day and night. Beautiful sunrise and sunsets, close to Memphis Tennessee also.
Great location overlooking river!
We have stayed here twice for overnights on a coast to coast trip with a 28’ Airstream. The pull through spots are level, overlook the river and e/w/s hookups are easy to connect. The spots are at a slight angle so each one has a view of the river and are spaced a good distance apart. Verizon only has 1 bar but is still working so I cannot complain.
Nice view of Mississippi River
Very basic bathroom & shower. Poor construction craftsmanship. Only 6 bathrooms for 130 spots. Dusty gravel sites. Riverbank needs more grounds maintenance
Top 10 spot for stay while in Memphis area.
Dusty (dry weather), with predominately gravel fairly level sites; some concrete pads.
Small trailer Laundry/bath/shower in western portion of sites.
Big draw is the Mississippi River that borders the south portion of the park.

River View
Great spot next to river.
Motorcycle Friendly & Free Laundry
Found this campsite on the Dyrt and was pleasantly surprised with the location and family friendly atmosphere. Right on the River but not swimable water. In an industrial park but felt very safe. Just a few minutes from the interstate.
The tent site is just a primitive grassy group area but had tons of shade from giant oak trees and is right next to the bathhouse.
Laundry is free on the second story of the bathhouse which was a wonderful treat.
The bathrooms weren’t awful but could use some TLC.
Tent sites do not get picnic tables. No fire rings.
Overall a decent night’s stay - whatever you do don’t forget your bug spray!
Right on the Mississippi v
Campsite is right on the river and you can see the river from many sites. Gravel sites are flat. Washrooms are limited but adequate. Easy off rte 40 and just 15 minutes from downtown Memphis. No WiFi detectable at this site.
Great View of the Mississippi River
Nice little park on the banks of the Mississippi River.
Great relaxing stay
This has been a very clean and relaxing stay. Perfect weekend!
Great spot
We stopped for one night and it was a great stay. Super clean and easy concrete pull through spot. We had a nice view of the Mississippi River even though we were in the second row. Pet friendly!
Great stop!
Tom Sawyer did not disappoint. While the drive to the RV park is a little sketchy, once you get in it’s a great little park. We stayed along the Mississippi River and really enjoyed watching the barges go by. Power was stable. Water had good pressure. Cell signal (Verizon) was good but the wifi was slow as on all parks. They bathrooms/showers were clean and get this….free laundry!! Enjoyed our one night stay.

Great stay!
We arrived after house but the woman that answered the phone earlier in the day was very helpful and pleasant. We picked up an envelope at the front bc building with all needed info and headed to our spot.
We selected a concrete slab spot on the Mississippi. Our toddler loved watching the barges go by.
The weather was sleeting and 30 degrees but in nicer weather I see this being a terrific place to stay. It is spread out and in a private place along the river. Driving up you don’t know what to expect. You drive through an industrial park and a dicey area to get there but the situation vastly improves once in.
We are already talking about a route we can take to be able to stay here again. And Free laundry is huge. We were just on a 3 week trip and didn’t see that anywhere else.
Stay here! Even if you are going to Graceland. The ones near Graceland can’t compare.
Awesome views Of old miss
50 amp full hook ups with lots of pull through
Great River Views
We followed the website instructions to the park, as recommended. There were signs to the park that were very helpful especially as we got close. Due to COVID there was contactless check in and per email we picked up our envelope and headed to pull through site 54 with FHUs. We received the major TV channels through our OTA antenna plus a clear shot to the Southern sky for our satellite. We also got 3 to 4 bars on Verizon and the park Wifi was average. One of this park's perks is a nice sized laundry room near the office that was FREE. There were also two smaller and also free laundry rooms in each campground area. Tom Sawyer is one of our favorite campgrounds(CG) and we noticed that there had been a few upgrades; another restroom and laundry building added plus refurbished the river view seating outlooks and added more outlooks. Great CG for an overnighter or longer stay to explore Memphis, TN.

Neat place to experience barge traffic on Mississippi River
Very large private campground with full hookups and long pull thru pads to accommodate any size 5th wheel or trailer. River side sites available but can be a bit noisy with tugs going up and down river constantly but soo bad that it is unbearable. Thought it strange that there was only one very small shower house for the number of sites on the property.

Good sites on the Mississippi river a little noisy
Nice level sites with concrete no fire rings but a picnic table All the sites were reasonably priced under $50 With views of the Mississippi and the tugs and barges going up-and-down the river

Beautiful!
Beautiful, quiet, view up close of Mississippi River. Large green grass area to walk along river, benches to sit. The moon was beautiful across the water. They were helpful by phone and we arrived after hours and our envelope was waiting for us. A reservation is always be necessary, everyone likes to o stay.
Cheap Tent Sites
The tents sites are cheap but this is really for someone passing through. You basically share a feild with a few picnic tables, no fire pits from what I saw. The bathrooms/shower were okay but you get what you pay for. Other than that, the walk over to the view of the river is gorgeous.
Tom Sawyer rv park
This place is a 6 star park next to Ms river close to Memphis,TN quite, great spots, clean and a lake oand ponds on the sites.
Nice campground on the Mississippi
Nice pull thru site on the river. Full hookups, grassy area, sites are close, good walking area along river.
Nice Spot on the River
Really like the park, but really wasn’t impressed by West Memphis. Luckily, the park seems to be well buffered from the town. Went into Memphis on days one and two. There are currently mask mandates there. Today I went to the Kroger in West Memphis. The area seemed safe enough during the day, and masks are not mandated.
Gem on the Mississippi
Although we were only here for one night, we enjoyed the view from our river front, concrete site! The park is very dog friendly with all kinds of fur-babies being walked. Our site was level and very easy to set up!
Definitely will be back some day!
Right On The River
Just an overnight stop - we were pleasantly surprised. Our campsite was a pull thru gravel site and it was right on the Mississippi River. We got up in the morning and watched the barges headed up river. The bathrooms are portable trailers - probably so they can be moved when the river rises. If nothing else, it’s worth the price just to sit in the riverbank with a cup of coffee and watch the river.
