Nice place for one night stay

This is far enough away from interstate so you dont hear traffic, but you can still be back on the interstate within 5 mins. But trains are close by and will be heard.

Appears long term campers are at front of campground. Everyone around us were also doing 1 night stay, so everything was quit after sunset.

Finding the sewer hookup took some time, but finally found it. Need a water pressure regulator and when you check in they mention that.

Nice large trash bins which are along the path out of the campground and in the center of the campground. Dog area was clean and had plenty of grass.

Showers were good, but need some maintenance/adjustment but it works for a quick shower.

Not a place to tent camp

I've camped 3 times in the last three years at this campground and it has gotten progressively worse since my first visit in 2021. My last stay in early August 2023 was the worst. I had to spend 5 minutes cleaning up dog poop out of my assigned site before I could carefully pitch my tent in a cleared area. The bathrooms were dirty and the WiFi didn't work at my site. The "benefit" of being close to I-80 is outweighed by the constant noise of traffic from both the interstate and a service road which runs right past the tent sites.

Road closure last minute stay.

While heading to Tennessee in mid October, the I-80 closed closed down due to weather and car wrecks. Came up into Evanston and found ourselves in the middle of 100s of big rigs parking on the road in all Lanes, we were able to find an opening and flip around onto the other side of the freeway and backtrack to the small town of Evanston, where 100s more big rigs, rvers and travelers were trying to find respite for the night. We hopped on the Dyrt and we're able to get two spots for the night. Water and electric and sewage. 35$ a night. It was a safe spot to lay our heads and wait out the storm.

Little did we know that the next day we would need to stay again after leaving at 11 and finding out the road was still closed and not opening till 4pm. With high wind warning and blowing snow we decided to stay a second night. Was a great spot. There are train tracks somewhat close, so if that bothers you keep going. We rather enjoy them.

Didn't use showers, but did laundry and the facility was nice and clean, plenty of washers and 3 big dryers with a wash sink.

Ground we're nicely kept.

Nice family park.

We stayed at Phillips RV Park in Evanston, Wyoming in August 2021. We had a nice pull-thru site that easily accommodated our fifth wheel and truck. We had full hookups and cable. The WiFi didn’t work very good here but was typical of many RV parks, hit or miss. Good spacing between sites and very easy to maneuver your rig in and out of. Nice grassy areas to walk your pups. They doggy poop bag stations were always empty of bags, but we carry our own anyway. This park has lots of room for kids to play with a large play structure and grassy area.. The county fair was here during our stay and we enjoyed walking basically across the street to the fairground to enjoy it. There are miles of paved hiking/biking paths close at Bear River State Park. Poorly Managed

Supposedly had reservations for 3 nights. They only had us down for 1. The kid actually laughed. We were traveling from Arizona for a wedding. We found another better RV Park 30 miles away. Inconvenient, but we still will make the wedding. Be aware. They will not send email confirmations. Just said use "Darla" to confirm. Manager would not come and talk to us or help us find another park. Best they would do is not charge us for not staying there one night. Try other parks in the area first even if you have to drive further!

noisy at night, otherwise kinda nice

yup it’s by the highway, but i knew that when i picked it. but i did NOT realize that it is by the train tracks, and ALSO tent area is alongside a road that gets deliveries via semi trucks at 3:30am. if you neeeeeeed to sleep, don’t stay here.

but i am tired from a hard day’s driving in windy and smoky conditions, and sorely in need of a shower and time with my book, music and planning my route. they gave me a little tent site with electricity for my camper van, in the shade, just as i’d requested. lovely aspen and cottonwood trees making shade. bathroom and shower — so clean! wifi — secure and signal is good.

and really, it’s not too noisy until nighttime!

How does 100' from a major interstate sound to you?

If you're into having a mexican restaurant 1 block away (which admittedly we went to) and being sandwiched between a major interstate, a railroad, and a highway, then this place is for you. Sarcasm aside, you have to know its best for big Class A Diesel pushers making their way across the country and needing to stop somewhere near the freeway. It does fine for that. Also the hookups are fine, the grounds are clean, and the water pressure is tremendous. Really, I'm just stretching for nice things to say now.

A legit complaint is the staff did not tell us the restrooms/showers would be closed. We called ahead to ask (given Covid) and they said by June all would be open. It wasn't and there was no explanation. This isn't an issue for the Class A neighbors but for those w/o it was a serious inconvenience.

Oh, and I was surprised the mosquitos were so vicious given the urban setting.
