Directions

Directions: Start at I-90 exit 85 (Cle Elum). Go east on SR-970 for 6.9 miles. Turn left on Teanaway Road. Go 7.3 miles. Turn left on West Fork Teanaway Road for .6 miles and turn left into Teanaway Campground. No fee. Access is provided on a first-come, first-served basis (no reservations). Get directions using the following address: 1160 West Fork Teanaway Road, Cle Elum, WA 98922.

Nice when empty

I showed up Saturday evening and found a spot no prob. It was crowded (and very loud) but most parties acknowledged the 10PM quite hrs. By Sunday evening 90% of the crowd had left and it was heavenly! The toilets were well maintained, honestly very clean for the location etc. i was impressed. No water/electricity. T-mobile was hit or miss - couldn’t connect hot spot.

tenting, use quieter walk-in sites

If tenting, I wish we had done a walk-in site, it is only 20 feet to walk in, and by the river. The campground, I am assuming would be great if in an RV. We slept in our car. There were generators running most of the day, and an outdoor TV. Maybe just bad luck on our part. But people were respectful of the quiet hours.

I should have read more reviews that talked about dispersed camping up the road a bit.

As others stated bring your own tp! We arrived a Monday, so maybe it got ‘wiped’ out over the weekend.

Lots is shade at sites, with patches of sun also for getting warmer when you want to. Fairly bug free end of June.

Too much fun in the sun

The campground was very clean and parking a 25 ft trailer was easy. Many camping spots for trailers. Camp fill up quickly. Quiet place. Large camping spots. Clean toilets. Creek and river access from campground.

Beautiful Campground in Forest

Beautiful campground with several dispersed spots, most with picnic table and fire pit. There are walk in (50 to 100 feet walk) sites as well as horse camping sites. Pit toilets are clean, don’t smell, and have TP. Road in campground is in good condition with pretty new gravel. Large frisbee golf course borders campground to east. River runs along southern edge. Verizon 1-bar LTE on east side. WeBoost made it a very usable 3 bars. Starlink works too - most sites have good openings to sky.

A nice little spot

The camp sight we stayed in was pretty clean. Small distances in between each site so you don't feel like you're camping ontop of other people. Wake up to the sounds of ravens yelling and chipmunks trying to climb in your car throughout the day!

Great find

Relaxing spot nestled within the Teanaway Community Forest. A few basic toilets dot the area and campsites are separated by picnic tables and fire rings. Not much underbrush around, but the numerous pines give ample shade in the afternoon and evening. Only a few other campers in the area and camping is free with Discover Pass.

Sweet spot with MTB trails.

Lots of people. Was quiet at night during our stay. River access for the kids. If you are a mountain biker, this spot will not disappoint with the trail system right out of camp.

So Great!!

I love the teanaway area because the hiking is incredible! I was able to come stay here in the fall, and hike Lake Ingalls. It was absolutely gorgeous! Hands down the best decision my friends and I have made. The campground was actually somewhat busy. There were quite a few people staying here that were hunting nearby but had this as their base. We thought it would be bare because of the time of year we went, but it was actually busy. Campground was decent- clean and lots of room. One toilet. Bring your own toilet paper because there wasn’t any in the bathroom. Lake Ingalls is a must hike if you are staying here. It was incredible. We saw some mountain goats and the colors were beautiful this time of year. Hike was 9 miles round trip and does require some path finding to the lake. Campground was easy to find and well marked.

Good campground, plenty of options further in

This campground is pretty strait forward DNR/FS type sites. No power, has a privy that’s decently clean and pretty close to the North Fork of the Teanaway River. What I would suggest is heading up the rod to the Teanaway Community Forest which has dispersed camping on DNR land. Plenty of fishing when creeks and rivers are open and much better views of Mt. Stuart. We found a great spot right across the Beverly Creek Bridge
