Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest

A Northwest Forest Pass is required for parking/access to Pete Lake.

This very popular eastside lake is an easy flat 4 mile hike and well suited for families. Early in the season there are several water crossings that could prove a bit difficult for little ones. The trail is also popular with equestrians, and the plentiful campsites fill up fast on a weekend. Most of the shoreline is shallow, making shore fishing a bit challenging but still productive for Eastern Brook Trout of varying sizes. A nice view of the surrounding mountains can be seen from the lake.
