Elwha Dam RV Park
About
The Elwha RV Park sits inside a mature evergreen forest alongside the Olympic National Forest and the Elwha River gorge; former home of the Lower Elwha Dam.
We are in the ideal location to explore the 5 main entrances into Olympic National Park, Port Angeles, & the Juan de Fuca Straits.
Just far enough from town to surround yourself with nature, but close enough to conveniently access restaurants, shops, & cultural events.
Our guests love our quiet wooded ambiance, community garden, friendly service, & drama-free vibe.
If you are into biking, rock-hounding, hiking, catching sunsets, bird-watching, hydroponics & gardens, or simply soaking in nature's best, this is the place for you.
We love sharing a space & environment which empowers you to escape, reset, & rejuvenate.
Make the Elwha your "home away from home" for your next adventure!

Welcoming and Cozy
Helpful and welcoming family staff, variety of sites to accomodate your rig, funky hillside but fully comfortable facilities, very well maintained. What's not to love here? Great location for exploring the north Olympic or prep to catch the ferry to Vancouver Island. Oh, and do not miss pizza night if you are lucky enough to be there for one! Warmest review I've ever given, well deserved.
Amazing!
Every interaction with the campground staff was amazing and super accommodating
The campground it's self is great with super clean bathroom and facilities
Very family friendly!
My best friend and I decided to camp away for a night. We walked the trails and found the most beautiful lookout of the Elwha River! The area was very clean, cute and friendly! Tons of families with kids around. Also it has Wi-Fi, bathrooms/showers & laundry! I will be coming back đâš

First Family Camping Outing
We are a family of four (Twins 5yo) who decided itâs time to experience the âGreat Outdoors!â We couldnât have asked for a better experience than Elwha campground! We were immediately met with a warm welcome and information all about the campground and places withing walking/driving distances to visit. Directions couldnât have been more clear and welcoming! The entire campground is extremely safe and accommodates everything you would need like games, activities, hikes, washer/dryer, Club house and more! It was even a nice touch to see our fire pit filled with logs wrapped in plastic. This will be a staple for our family to come out and visit! Couldnât have been more pleased with our experience. FYI: 2 night tent stay
Also we didnât get a chance to try the electric bikes but that will be a must on the next visit.

Excellent experience with caring and attentive staff
We stayed there for several months, the park is very clean and well maintained. The staff genuinely cares about providing a positive experience for their guests. For example, we had an issue with our electric hookups on the afternoon of Thanksgiving and they were there to fix it within 15 minutes of our call to the after-hours help number. The location is great. You have easy access to a wide variety of recreation options nearby and only a short drive to town. Facilities were always clean and the staff would regularly make recommendations for activities in the area. We would absolutely stay there again.
Hello Calvin,
Thank you for sharing your experience and leaving such a thoughtful review.
We are so glad you enjoyed time camping with us and that you had opportunity to explore this beautiful area!
You are always welcome to visit again.
Good journeys to you!
Cute site close to Port Angeles
Really friendly and helpful hosts, pretty little campground close to Port Angeles, would recommend if your wanting to whale watch with the guys at pugget sound express
Thank you for your review! We enjoyed hosting your stay. So glad you had a chance to experience the incredible Whale Watching out of Port Angeles!
Very friendly staff
Iâm a tent camper- the sites are not level, my fire ring was way too small. Branches need to be cut back. And sites are crammed in there, so, hopefully youâll have a nice neighbor. Showers need quarters. Only one main bathhouse, they have porta-potties in some areas. The hosts are very nice and thereâs free coffee. They had live music, which was nice. Seemed to be a good family/kid friendly place. They accept pets. I wouldâve given a higher score had the showers been free and the sites a bit better.
Hello Heather, thank you for you review and feedback!
We are always working to improve, so I will gladly pass your feedback to our development team.
We do our best to offer an all-inclusive experience as much as we can, such as our campground garden, pet stations, Wi-Fi, etc.
Because our water is limited by our well, we do monitor water use with quarters, but work to keep the cost low at four quarters per shower. We hope this didn't take away from your overall experience.
Hope to see you the next time you are in the area!
Love is in the little things
This campground is beautiful but what makes it so special is how caring the host are. We arrived late and didnât expect anybody to still be available. But even at almost 10 PM David was there for us and helped us find the perfect site. Everything is clean and well taken care of. There is a beautiful vegetable garden where you can help yourself to lettuce leaves and wonderful herbs, a clean laundry room and community kitchen and free coffee in the morning. And very hot showers with great pressure. This campgrounds close to all the special sites in the Olympic national park and to Port Angeles. Everyone in the host family is happy to give you great recommendations. We biked along the north side of Crescent Lake (Spruce Railroad Trail).
Hello Bhakta,
We are so glad you enjoyed your time with us!
Thank you for your lovely recommendation.
We would love to see you again the next time you are in the area!
Great location
Great location to start exploring Olympic NP. Friendly staff, roomy site and clean facilities
Hello Doris,
Thank you for your review! We are so glad you enjoyed your visit!
Convenient location
Elwha RV was a great spot located close to Olympic NP, water activities and Port Angeles. The campground was incredibly clean and well cared for. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Definitely stop by the front desk and ask for recommendations of the area.
I was in a tent spot (22) and it was good to be slightly away from the RVs. The spots are pretty small, so donât plan to spread out.
Hello Missy,
Thank you for your review!
We enjoyed hosting your stay during your Olympic National Park adventure!
We are always happy to offer recommendations on the area.
We have a variety of tent site sizes, though sites do book up un advance in July, so we may have have limited availability when you stayed with us. So glad you enjoyed the privacy of those sites.
Hope to see you on your next ONP visit!
Pretty good
Somebody here clearly cares about this business: the beautiful garden, the helpful sheet with nearby attractions and restaurants, a community kitchen where youâre invited to stop by for a hunk of bread. We got a tent site for our camper van as we did not require hookups. The site was ample but not very private, and the only bathroom anywhere near was a porta potty that could have used a bit more attention. And I am really tired of campgrounds that post âplease recycleâ signs and do not provide recycle bins.
Hello Mary,
Thank you for your review! We are always looking to improve our guest experience, so I appreciate your feedback, and will pass to my development team as well.
So glad to hear that you found our resources and amenities helpful during your visit.
Our recycling is located next to our primary waste disposal station. It is fenced in for visual appeal, so we have improved signage since your stay!
Best journeys!
BEST SITE EVA'
Would rate 10/5 if I could. Community garden is a free for all! Places to play with basketballs, volleyballs, and everything you can dream of from a campsite. GREAT selection of puzzles. I liked the cardinal ravensburger one. Yes, Im a puzzle fan 𧩠Easy access to the Olympics (hurricane ridge). Owned by GREAT people, who were so kind, that they offered us a fresh orange pepper. We also took a zucchini and a teeny tiny broccoli đ„Š So delicious đđ€€ Our site was covered around by bushes from other sites, and veryyyyyyy private. Easy access to potable turlet đœđȘ
Hello Kasumi,
Thank you for your amazing review!
We are so glad you had such a great camping experience with us. We take great pride in our campground garden and quality of our amenities.
We love our location for easy access to the natural wonders just around us. So glad you got to experience some of those during your stay!
Great hidden gem
This had to be one of the best campgrounds we found in our two month motorcycle trip. Yes there are fancier grounds, but this campground is made exceptional due to its owners and their emphasis on customer service. We stayed extra days and although they were full made accommodations for us. Showers are great. The kitchen is exceothey provide and allow you to borrow just about any kitchen utensil you might need. They offer a community garden, so feel free to gather at no cost fresh veggies. We will be back Chris ensured that with his great hospitality and helpfulness. Â This area doesnât get the frequent rains . It was perfect weather and scenery was magnificent.
Hello Debra,
We are so glad we were able to accommodate you and share in your ONP adventure!
Our guests, like yourself, are what make this place and culture so unique.
Thank you for staying with us and for your kind review.
We hope to see you again if you are ever in the area!
Great place
There are lots of different options from tent sites to cabin rentals. Owners were very welcoming and accommodating. They have a veggie garden to share, lots of outdoor activity areas and places to explore within walking distance. Itâs a great base camp for exploring the peninsula. They do a good job of providing privacy with the smaller RV spaces. WiFi is good, not great but thatâs not why weâre there. We will be back!
Thank you for staying with us and for your review!
We are so glad you enjoyed your camping experience at the Elwha.
We would love to see you again!
Nice homey feel
Family business. Super nice people with allot of amenities. Play equipment for the kids along with family outside & inside games. They offer free produce to the campers from their garden & free movie rentals.
The spaces were a little tight but for a few nights - itâs worth it.
