Excelent place !
We've been there 6 years ago , very nice campground !
Magical- truly!
It is one of the most beautiful campgrounds I've experienced over many years! The sites are comfortably private and well thought out for tent, table, and fire ring placements. The bathrooms are actually very nice (dare I say upscale!) and clean. Same with the lovely shower for rent. There are stunning old growth tree stumps and an unbelievable ancient maple tree covered in thick moss that will make your jaw drop! A charming and inviting meadow complete with strategically placed Adirondack chairs for relaxation, chatting, or meditation. The campground is close to Minersl and Alder Lake- both of which we enjoyed with our SUP's. We also found one of many hiking trails in the area. The camp host, Tom, was incredibly helpful, charming, and full of helpful ideas on making the most of our time there. We already planning a return trip!
Beautiful space, wonderful host
This is a family business and Tom & Brian are absolutely wonderful. We come several times a season. We have stayed in most of the tent spots in our sprinter. You can’t go wrong with any site. The meadow is a perfect spot to walk your dog (or kid), have an evening cocktail, or star gaze. The bathrooms are always clean and the gift shop is beautiful with many locally crafted items. We have visit in May, June, July and September.
Beautiful quiet retreat
We completely enjoyed our stay at Elkamp and have already made reservations to go back. Tom and Brian the owners are wonderful hosts. The sites are situated amongst beautiful tall trees, spacious and private. A beautiful creek runs through with a foot bridge with access to a beautiful meadow.

Magical Place
This is the best, most well kept campground we’ve ever been to. The owners are amazing, the property is stunning with trails, a beautiful gift shop that is beautifully decorated, and also has a great list of brands, including Pendleton. They close the front gate at night, so it’s very safe and private. We will be back, a lot! They also are ranked #7 as one of the best campgrounds in America. Do yourself a favor, come here and relax, enjoy and decompress. Thank you Elkcamp!

PERFECT!!
Wow, I would totally stay here again. The space was groomed very well, and I appreciated the no-contact arrival instructions, and the shower! I felt 100% safe as a solo female traveler.
Clean and beautiful
The staff were very accommodating when we wanted to stay an extra night last minute because we liked it so much! Only an hour from Mt. Rainier NP and the town near by has some solid shops. The campsites are pretty private and there’s specific spots for your tent that has an extra layer of mulch underneath for cushioning. The bathrooms were always clean. There’s designated dish washing station (though there’s no spout right now) and potable water station. There’s a little creek you can walk to very close by they have nice chairs set up you can sit at. Loved this! The office has pretty limited hours but I think it’s family run and it’s small is I get it. The office is really cute if you do go inside though!
Will absolutely be coming back next time we’re visiting the area.
Super nice spot!
Great campsite, friendly hosts, clean bathrooms and showers, tons of outdoor space and trails to explore. I get why this place is a little expensive but I think it’s totally worth it.
Beautiful campsite, limited baths
Gorgeous, shady site with clean bathrooms. One pay shower for camp. And one mens and one women’s bathroom. Sites have generous spacing. Somewhat buggy (mostly mosquitoes). Very nice camp hosts/owners. Shower had some standing water.
AWESOME
This is a great place to stay, clean, creek access, tons of space for dogs to play in the field, nice little trail access from the field next to the campground. It has a great location, near small town and a short drive to Mt Rainier.
Beautiful, clean, safe, peaceful
I couldn’t recommend this campground more. The owners are very friendly and helpful, it’s in a beautiful area (with a meadow to walk around/chill out in), the bathrooms are very clean and they have showers (coin operated, bring quarters, but only a dollar for 6 minutes), they have nice sinks for you to wash dishes in, good fire pits, service and wifi. And on top of all that, it’s only 20 minutes from the Mount Rainier entrance. We stayed for two nights and had a great time.

Elkamp
One of the best run and cleanest camp grounds around. Bathrooms and shower are cleaned every few hours. Sites for tents and travel trailer and 5th wheels. We have an annual stay with 18 of our friends and we have a blast. Mineral lake is close so on hot days you can go jump in the lake. The sites are under a canopy of trees so it never gets too hot. They have games you can use for free, card games to corm hole. The owner hosted are the best. They are like family.
Best place
Small campground very friendly host was rainy and cold but was a really nice place
Best trip
Brian was great! This place was amazing very easy to get in and out of. Quite and relaxing with good views. They are very friendly and helpful.
Random Search
I did not feel like driving all the way to Yakima, so I decided to do a random search of nearby camp sites and found this gem. It’s a great clean location with friendly staff. Don’t miss out on this one!
Clean and organized !
We stayed at site #10 it is a fantastic pull through site super close to the creek(if you want to be real close check out site #3). Super dog friendly and nice big sites.
Clean livin
Great spot. Clean campsite. Easy booking
Lovely campground
Sites were along a creek. Not crammed in, clean facilities, helpful hosts
Lovely and quiet
We loved our stay at Elkamp. We were only there for one night, but the whole campsite was so beautiful. Lots of big trees, and was truly amazing when waking up in the morning. All of the tent pitches were well maintained. Hosts were super friendly and gave us a courtesy call before we arrvied to make sure everything was okay and to give us instructions if we arrived late. Bathrooms were nice and clean, shower room was big. One downside was the shower cost $1 for 6 minutes, but it really wasn't a big deal. Good location for trips to Mount Rainier. Would highly recommend.
Beautiful
Great Owner's! Clean, spacious and peaceful. 😊
Great base camp for Rainier or local lakes
We loved our stay at Elkamp and highly recommend it. We stayed for 3 nights and used it as a base for trips to Rainier.
Campground is beautiful. Large mature trees offered much needed days during very warm August days. The fields had great walking paths for post-dinner strolls. The bathrooms and showers were great. Everyone was quiet by 9:30 and all neighbors seemed respectful.
It was very buggy in the area so do bring bug spray and some candles. There’s a fire ban so no campfires to keep them away at night.
Highly recommend!
Best place in Washington state
This is the cleanest, most cared for camping site I have ever been to. The owners Tom and Brian, make your stay very enjoyable. They care about you having a great experience, whether you’re a first time camper or a seasoned camper. They have a great store with snacks, wine, beer, and local sourced goods. They have games you can use while you are there, like corn hole and board and card games, free of charge. Sites are large for travel trailers and motor homes, they also have tent and group sites. Trailer and motor home sites have power and water, there is a dump station you can use on your way home free of charge. The bathrooms are large and very clean, the shower is 4 quarters for 6 minutes, those of us who try to take a 3 minute shower in our rigs so we don’t run through all the hot water so our partner can have a shower without waiting for the water to get hot again it’s a blessing. In the evening Tom or Brian drive through the park seeing if anyone needs ice or firewood, if there’s not a burn ban, bring a propane fire pit for your camping experience. They also sell propane so no fears on running out. The best thing is you are under a large canopy of trees which helps to keep you cool even on the hottest days. There is a small creek to put your chair in and put your feet in the water. Our first year there we brought 4 other people, this year it was 28. We make Elkcamp our yearly get together. Family friendly and a great place to unwind. You’re only a few miles from mineral lake, bring your trunks, inner tube, or your paddle boards. I’d give it a solid 10 out of 10.

Beautiful, quiet, secluded campground
This small, private campground located just SW of Mt Rainier NP is owned and managed by Brian and Tom, a very friendly and caring couple. The campground is immaculately maintained and they are gradually working on expanding a few more sites. It is only open late spring thru early fall, and quickly fills up. The rv sites have water and elec, but not sewer... but a dump is available if needed. The sites are well spaced and have fresh gravel, so no issues in case of rain. Cell/data service can be an issue... We have both tmo and att through a cellular router with external antennas and had just enough coverage to be online but couldn't stream well. We will definitely be returning to camp here, but with a cell booster.
Great place, Great owners!
Will be back many times to come!
Wonderful place!
We spent a weekend tent camping here and I can't wait to go back when it gets warmer and this time bring the Turtle. The campground is meticulously maintained, facilities are super clean, there is a dishwashing station, and a super cute store. The two guys who run the place are super friendly, drive around delivering ice and firewood, and are so welcoming. There is a creek that is fun for kids to play in and a large field to go explore and walk around in. Beautiful location and close to Mt. Rainier NP.

Clean, beautiful
Well maintained campground, full hookups and tent sites available. Sites fairly large & private with tons of old trees and right next to a creek. Bathrooms clean. Fire pits and firewood available from hosts. Easy access to Rainier NP. Hosts super nice. Only thing that would make this place better is more substantial picnic tables which were new but kind of rickety. Would camp here again.
Camping in comfort!
This campground is fantastic. Very accommodating owners who are super sweet. I’ve and wood available on site (even delivered to your site). Bathrooms, dish area and showers were super clean and the assorted port a potty’s were also well maintained. Worth every single penny!
Very nice place, quiet and clean campground.
Just another beautiful camp. You can call them at +1 805-434-1996 for reservation. Recently this camp was sold and the new owner Tom and his partner, are just wonderful people ❤
Great place
Very clean and quiet a great place to stay to see Mt Rainer. We will be going back and if you go ask for some chocolate chips cookies they are really good
Family business.
This place is broken from paradise!
