Fantastic family vacay spot
Just spent 5 days here and loved it. Wish we had stayed longer. They have 4 pools, lots of old shade trees that provide nice screen during the hot summer, fun activities, and a parking lot near the beach for easy access that was clutch! We are already planning on coming back next year.
Nice Quick Stay
Though the camp spaces were pretty tight with little privacy in the area I was, it wasn't much of an issue for me. I'm in late and out early while traveling. The campground had a lot of amenities and the showers / restrooms were excellent. I will definitely return. Even arriving late wasn't much of an issue, they even called me the next day to check on me, and completed my registration over the phone as I left before the offices open, and would return pretty late too.
Horrible
Worst campground ever. Employee smackwd my 7 year old daughter, they used my camper without permission over the winter as I was paying to have it stored and it came back to me broken and missing many items. This is my second summer here and this is the second summer they treated us horribly as all we have dune is love this place and the people until all of this came out.
Love love love this place
Absolutely love this place 💓 couldn't ask for more outta the camp ground the staff or the vibe
Travel retreat
I was there for a week for a work. It was a bit crowed for my liking. Your neighbors are extremely close to you. Seemed like they had a lot to do for children. I did like that they had a trolley that comes by and takes you to the oceanfront and they have a parking pass if you decide to take your car to the ocean front. I do not like that the quiet hours start at 11:00 pm. We had a new family rent the lot next to us and they were very loud. They started drinking in the early afternoon and by the evening they were pretty lit. Their music was blaring. I called the front office at 1115pm and no one picked and of course no one was there. They should at least have security around for instances like that.
Bris Birthday
My family has been camping at this campground since 2006. I first came and stayed with my boyfriend and his mom (She worked at the gas station). Then for my 18th,19th,20th Birthday my mom rented us a camp site with a golf cart for 1-2 to weeks in July-Aug. The day of my birthday July 28th we invited our friends to come to my birthday party. I never had a bad experience during those times I've camped here. I've had a cabin, tent and RV s
Large resort, several types of sites
This is a very large RV resort with many amenities and several types of sites to pick from… I would pick my site over the phone and be specific on what you want, grass pad vs concrete vs gravel vs mud.
Off-season
This place is huge! Great amenities, but hardly any are open during the winter and it seems many have been closed due to covid. Store, game room, and restaurant is closed. They do have a heated indoor pool, laundry, numerous restrooms, and a great dog park. There is yard/tiki art and paintings around the park. The mini golf course is a bit run down, but it's free during off season and the course greens are in good shape. I would love to see the place in the summer.
Great Spot near the beach
This is a great campground full of amenities! Easy pull in spots with plenty of room. Really friendly staff too! We might stay another night just because we like it so much.
Great location, close to the beach, lots of local amenities.
We really like staying here, it has full hookups, always seems to have space, and there’s something fore everyone right here or nearby. Only drawback is the jet noise from the nearby Oceana Naval Airbase.
Touristy Campground with shuttle to VB oceanfront
This is a convenient place to stay close to the oceanfront if you’re going to be spending time along the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. They have lots of amenities as well as putt-put and several pools.Â
There are various sections and some of the higher priced sites are very well kept but the newer pull through sites in the rear of the park flooded really badly when we were there and we had constant construction from backhoes and building crews, which took away front the relaxation somewhat. The tent sites are fairly nice unless it rains, which means floating on your air mattress. We had a fairly good experience with our travel trailer but it would have been miserable with a tent setup.Â
We’ve stayed a couple times prior to getting our camper and have had a good experience overall. The comfort stations are fairly clean but some are nice than others and you don’t know until after arrival if the closest ones are the better ones. There’s quite a division between the fancy side with full hookups and the sites with partial hookups.
Loved the trees
We had a great time in Va Beach. I loved the camp ground and everyone was super friendly. The beach bus comes to the campground even though we did not use it. And they have a parking lot available for guests to use for no charge at the beach around 9 th street. We loved it.
Great weekend stay!
Took the RV for a quick weekend getaway and this was the perfect place!
The decorations were all so great! Pools, bathrooms, cafe all very clean! There is even a food truck that comes! Or if you need a break from the campground you could always get a trolly ride into VA Beach!
All in all great stay!

Close to everywhere we wanted to be!
We stayed at Holiday Trav-L-Park in Virginia Beach for the first time for 3 nights in July. As our travel trailer is small, we were able to stay in site #152. This site had water and electric, was close to a bathhouse, close to the pool, close to the camp store, and also close to the front entrance. By being an end site, we had more space and privacy than our neighbors, plus we had morning and afternoon shade.
During the time we were there we visited the oceanfront, Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge (south of VA Beach), Sandbridge, First Landing State Park (64th St and Shore drive), and the VA Aquarium. All were easy drives from the campground.
In the evenings we thoroughly enjoyed going to the main pool where a DJ kept everyone dancing and smiling (and swimming).
The bathrooms were clean, showers were hot, and facilities were well taken care of. We hope to go back again!

Okay
The campground Is large with 4 pools. It seems to need a bit more maintenance, some if the equipment is old and in need of repair. The rental bikes need to be replaced. Our site was small for our RV and we asked to move over to the one next to us. They said they couldn't move us. When the camper next door came in (2 days later) it was a class c and could easily fit in our spot. Website did not list dimensions and when we called they said it would fit. The web site also said subject to site changes.
Great place
We always have a great time here. Music and bands and events usually on weekends. Plenty to do on the grounds, many pools available and good level sites mostly
Shaded, Nice
Shady sites. Nice people. Easy access to beach with free parking lot or trolley. Well monitored entrance.
Our Northern Estate, on the road
Nice campground, our 17’ tt on lot #283 a short site we fit fine, full hook up our sight was crowned and stone. Oceana air base is near, fighters flying by and over all the time, so loud so cool, wow! Free parking lot, down on Pacific and 9th at beach area, curtesy of campground. Huge camp store kids will love lots for all. A heated covered pool, putt putt, much more.
Great RV Park near the beach
This is a large modern RV park with all the usual amenities and then some! Full hookups, lots of pull-thru sites, cable tv, multiple pools, multiple camp stores, playgrounds, mini golf, and more. All without leaving the property. Staff even collects trash daily. Sites are a little close, but everyone we met was very friendly. You should know that the park is under the flight path of the local naval base, so expect jet noise, but it wasn’t terrible during our stay. We stayed in the off season, so I think the place is a bit more manicured in the summer. The best perk is a free parking lot right at the beach just for people staying here. It was a short drive and a very nice perk.
Unimpressed
The facility is huge. The staff was very nice. Spent a week here in the off season. The site was half gravel and half grass. The grading wasn’t great and the gravel was thin. Lots of water puddles and the grass was swampy. I spent more time vacuuming than I should have.
The roads around the campground could use repair.
The main playground was a mud pit. No mulch or sand to absorb the water. The other playgrounds were small and/or run down. The mini golf course is run down - missing bricks and flooded ball holes.
The laundry facility was clean and in working order.
There also isn’t much diversity in this area.
We don’t plan to return.
Winter break fun!
This was our maiden voyage for the family RV--we decided on this destination kind of on a whim and were happy with our decision. We've been tent campers forever and were excited to see what RV camping was all about.
This is a HUGE complex with various "levels" of sites. From basic to fancy, crowded to sparse. I think we would've felt a little claustrophobic if it were the summer, but this was great for us in the off season. Our loop was packed and gravelly, but others open during the off season were a little more roomy and "polished."
We enjoyed biking all over the place (including a family-friendly bike trail to the VB boardwalk), playing on the many small playgrounds, swimming in the dome-covered pool (there are three more of them for warm weather), playing mini-golf, and enjoying our time.
Bathroom/shower houses were clean and well-positioned close to all of the camping loops.

Great Campground
One of my favorite campgrounds in the Mid-Atlantic region!
Meh
Not a bad campground, nice area. LOTS of overhead noise from jets (you do get use to it).
Some people in the campground started BLARING music at 2am and just partying hard. Tried to contact ANYONE to make it stop, but no one ever answered phones or contacted us back (or said anything to the obnoxious people). Said something to staff the next day and they didn't seem to care. Won't be back.
Never disappoints
We have been coming to this campground since we 1st started camping about 3 years ago and we ALWAYS have a good time! The sites are always clean with the grass cut. The staff is always friendly and they all work hard to make sure you enjoy your time. Weve stayed all over the park; full hookup, water and electric only, super sites...they are all fantastic! If your looking for a great family trip Holiday Travel park is your place!
Will stay here again
This place is large and can be crowded, but they keep the place very nice and clean. The staff is very nice. They are always out checking, maintaining, cleaning and easy to find for help. Nice ride to the beach and many activities in the park and around the park. The pools were clean and water temp was nice. I would definitely stay there again.
Not Recommended as a First Choice
2 nights of camping to shake down our new Geo Pro. The facility is huge (700 spaces) but crowded and expensive. Our site was mostly gravel or a deck built on what looked like pallets. No good place to really lay out our own stuff under the awning without the other stuff getting in the way. Live in Va Beach - this hardly represents the best we have to offer. All the state Parks are 1st class. This should only be a last resort.
LOCATION-LOCATION- LOCATION
Close to the oceanfront, nice pool, snack bar & activities for the kiddos. Ocean Breeze Fun Park, Motor World & The VA Aquarium are all super close. Pretty solid choice for a family looking to entertain a bunch of kids
Nice campground
We have stayed here numerous times and have made many memories! The atmosphere is very laid back and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The bathrooms and shower houses are always very clean as well as the cabins. I gave four stars because in the last few times we've stayed its VERY crowded and I think it overwhelms the staff. The pools are nice and clean but can get crowded as expected. Very good campground though imo and we are going back in july.
Nice and relaxing
Best campground in the Va Beach area. 1 mile roughly to the ocean front but they have there own beach parking lot and provide you with a parking pass for use. Nice cozy stores. Several pools to choose from so you don’t have to be packed in at one main pool with all the campground guests. Wooded with nice sized sites and plenty of wildlife. Have stayed 4 times and plan to have many more stays in the future
Great for Memorial Day weekend
Your about a mile to the beach the rv sites look every well kept the primitive slot we’re nice a little small for what it is, but you just feel packed in which it’s no state park and I get that. The pool they have is super nice had fun the whole time.
