Great, Quiet, Place to Stay

We absolutely loved our time at Endless Caverns. We stayed close to the catch & release pond and felt as though we had a lot of privacy despite the spots being right next to each other. We arrived after dark on the first night due to being kind of new at this and saying goodbye to both of our families prior to leaving for a year long road trip. Although I highly do not recommend getting there that late, the staff was very helpful in getting us set up safely.

The campground itself is situated on a mountain and can be hard to maneuver. That being said, it was only our third or fourth time setting up and we were still able to achieve it and really believe the beauty of this campground is worth the work. The grounds are well kept, but it is a true camping experience.

There is a cute, quaint, town right outside of the grounds called New Market that we wish we had been able to explore a little more! Definitely schedule a cavern tour with Jake! He is very knowledgeable and made sure that, despite us being the only two people, we had a great time. I would highly recommend giving Endless Caverns a try.

Great value

This resort exceeded our expectations. Sites are HUGE. They’re in the woods and up hills and around corners so you really feel like you’re camping, not at an rv resort. The value was great for our 2 month stay here. Peaceful. Saw many animals.

Beautiful, rustic campground

We stayed here in April so many of the amenities weren't open yet (pool, arcade, rec room). Like others mentioned, the campground is on the side of a mountain so it is very steep in some sections. (One entire loop says 4 wheel drive recommend, so read carefully before booking!) It's a pretty large campground. Most sites are well spaced but a lot are right beside each other, too. Kids loved the playground and the swings (a few different swing sets on the property). The camp store and entrance to the caverns is a gorgeous, old stone building! A staff member told me the campground was built in the 1800s. We loved the cavern tour. We went on a Fri at 2:00 with about 14 other people. The tour guide was pretty knowledgeable and great with the kids. This are is mostly rolling green hills with farm houses & cows everywhere. We visited the VA Civil War Museum & homestead, Luray Caverns (which was super busy) and Cooter's Dukes of Hazzard store/museum/cafe. In New Market we enjoyed Pack's soft serve ice cream stand, Southern Kitchen diner and the old General Store. We loved the Storybook Trail (no signs to find it...use gps!) that was closeby. It had a beautiful overlook of the valley. We found lots to do in this area and really enjoyed the campground (which was quiet, peaceful & dark at night!).

Quiet easy access

This is our 3rd time staying here on our travels. Sites are nice. Staff is friendly and helpful. The Civil War history and sites are very interesting. And the Caverns right at the campground are very beautiful! Would recommend at least 3 nights to get it all in.

Good experience - skip the tour

We found this campground via a great YouTube video. Drove in shortly after Ida hit so it was washed out (gravel issues). Glad I had 4WD because I needed it to get my camper into the site. Site c35 was private but sloped. Many other sites looked bigger and flatter. Lots of pull throughs and big rigs here. People were very nice. Campground was good. Lots of life here and nice pool.

The tour of the cavern was not great. Our tour guide shared more of her personal experiences with bats, growing up on a farm, and potential lizards in the cave than a single geological fact. I’d imagine other caverns around here have more expert guides. I’d come back to the camp ground and skip the cavern.

Enjoyed our time

Only there for 1 day but enjoyed the very well spaced sites. Parents had one site we had another. Quiet grounds and clean. Didn’t use bathhouse, laundry facilities. Fire pits and picnic tables in good shape. Sites themselves were level. My Younger kids loved the zero entry pool and the playground.

Beautiful, and peaceful

This campground is just far enough off the highway for easy access to it's peace and quiet. It's also apparently quite large, but we couldn't tell based on our site and the space and woods around us. Plus there are caverns right on site that you can tour. There are also some awesome roads to explore on your motorcycle. We'd go back for sure!

Enjoyable and plenty to do

Enjoyed our stay here at Endless Caverns. They have a cavern tour on site which was really great. The first site we were at was towards the bottom of a steep hill so backing in was a little tricky. The site itself (C20) was very unleveled so that was a pain to set up. Once it was though, it was nice. A tight squeeze for our 30ft motorhome, car and tow dolly. Each campsite has a fire ring and picnic table. Our second site was much easier to get into. It was much more leveled. The reason I’m giving this place 3 stars is because one of the women who work at the front was extremely rude to me and was refusing to let me reserve the second campsite. She said our rig was too big. After two attempts on my part my husband reserved it with another employee. The second site was not only bigger but easier for us to get into. So had it not been for that one employee who was consistently rude and condescending towards me, I would give this place a better rating. The camp hosts are great and there is a pool, playground, and rec center with arcade. They do a lot to keep the place clean. Recommend and would come back!!!

Really nice...

Really nice campground, fair amount of amenities for kids, cavern toir was pretty cool too. Only complaints are unlevel sites and dirt/dust from golfcarts and people driving settled on everything.

Great Spot

Nestled right up against the Ridge-and-Valley Appalachians, this is a great spot with semi- private spaces and full hook ups for RV’s. Check in was smooth with an escort. Resort has a pool on the property, well kept bathrooms, playground, and you can see the pride the staff has in the property and upkeep. There is a cavern tour which was really awesome (and relatively inexpensive), and the local town New Market has some small town shops and restaurants if you feel the need to explore locally. If Endless Caverns aren’t enough, nearby Luray Caverns are pretty close too which is very touristy.

Keep in mind that this campground is on the side of a mountain and it can get steep getting to some of the sites- but they have done a good job with copious amounts of gravel on roadways for traction.

Overall great experience and we’ll be back!

Great Place

Endless Caverns RV resort is a great place to stay and the location is perfect! There are so many attractions nearby. We stayed over the Labor Day weekend and had a late arrival and Frank was very helpful in leading us to our site.

The campground is very quiet and not lit up like a Christmas tree which is something we prefer. If you’re looking for a great place to stay in the Shenandoah Valley look no further.

Wonderful location, excellent RV Park

July 10-19, 2020

As my wife and I were discussing my review, I asked her what could we point to to take away from a 5-star rating. Neither of us could think of a single thing.

This campground (RV Resort) is simply beautiful. Wooded, stone borders, stone walls, and stone fire pits at every site, plus full hookup at each site. They cater nicely to big rigs, offering numerous pull-through sites as well as back-in sites, as your need exists. Small rigs down to tent trailers camp here as well. There are only two restroom locations (same with the dumpsters; guests do not leave trash near their sites, guests are expected to take care of their own trash), but they are clean, well cared for, and odor free. Showers are the same.

Most sites are spaced enough to give some feeling of privacy, some are fairly close together. A few sites are nicely secluded for those of us that crave privacy. Staff was extremely pleasant and helpful, and include a “Camp host” for after hours problems. Because of Virginia restrictions due to the current COVID situation, as of this writing the pool and spacious game room are not open. Check with them if that is a gamechanger for you. Their cavern tour (discounted for guests at the RV park) was lovely. Marked well, lighted, relaxed. Our tour guide, Haley, was a sweetheart, taking time for the two little kids, and still giving the information older people like. Plenty of things to do nearby, including museums, Civil War Battlefields, shopping, and Skyline Drive (fantastic).

This is a quiet campground, with no street lights, and quiet hours from 11PM to 8AM. Definitely not a party campground, which totally endeared this place to us. Roads are gravel and can be a bit steep, 4-wheel drive is helpful.

We thoroughly loved our stay here, and assuming we are back this way, we don’t even plan on looking at other locations to stay. Can not praise this campground (RV Resort) enough.

Beautiful

Had a wonderful time. Clean restroom and showers. Pretty level site. But, roads to your sites were extremely steep. We got there the day it rained all morning. Roads were washed out. Our rv was tossed around trying to get to our site. Kinda scary twice. Felt like we were going to topple over! Half hour later, they had trucks there putting in stones where the road had huge holes! Caverns were exquisite!

Ranger Review: Endless Caverns & RV Resort

Sites were large and easy to level out at. Used to be a nascar resort, and they still have their signs up. Took off a star because the shower house wasn’t clean - not sure if/when they clean it because it was pretty much the same during our stay. We didn’t do the cavern tour, but did take advantage of their hiking trails onsite. It is well worth the effort to climb up to their sign to take in the views. There are picnic tables up there. We didn’t have enough time but going up there with a glass of local wine at sunset would be awesome. Great location to get to Shenandoah NP, Harrisonburg, Charlottesville, and wineries.

AWESOME!

Had a great time here! The sites are all on the side of the mountain, and you can hike up to the sign similar to the Hollywood sign that can be seen from miles away. Side note- after hiking to top, we found that there is even 1 camping spot at the top under the sign with a CRAZY view of the valley below. There is even a pool here for swimming at the campground if you like. The caverns are super awesome as well, especially considering they have not been fully explored. It is not as crowded as some of the other caverns in the area which in my opinion is a plus. We only had 1 other family with us. The place has lots of old world charm.

Nice and Quiet

we Went in 8/2014. Very empty which was perfect for us. Large, clean bathhouse. Nice sites though all gravel. There was a pool at the campground but not much else to do. We visited the caverns which were nice and you get a discount for staying at he campground. While there, we went to a little Mexican restaurant in town which was good. Also went to Natural Bridge wildlife safari and zoo, mini golf on a rainy day, and hiking on the Appalachian Trail. Nice area, close to the blue ridge Mts. I’d return.
